LW will be spunking in his pants at the thought of this. It'd be great to have Buddy back again.

I see Buddy Guy is announced for 3rd July at Cornbury - does this open the opportunity for Glastonbury the weekend before... ?

As much as i love Blues, i can't get into Buddy Guy thesedays...very early stuff he did was red hot,but all he does is go through the motions now, same old riffs, same old set...Don't get me wrong,he sure can play, but far to much showboating for me.

As much as i love blues music i find Buddy Guy difficult these days, his early stuff was red hot,but now all he seems to do is play the same boring riffs, same songs over and over again, plus far to much showboating.......Less of the flash white blues Buddy and get back to your roots

A few years back he played the House of Blues near me as a solo acoustic act while supporting the album "Blues Singer".

He brought out Kim Wilson of the Fab Thunderbirds as a surprise guest and they jammed on acoustic blues for over an hour....THAT was a good show. I wish that he'd do that sort of thing again.

Bloody hope so, seeing him in 2008 was one of the best, right up there at the top. They better turn the effing music off on the food stalls around the jazz world this time though, but that aside, you could have heard a pin drop when he was playing, never seen anything like it at Glasto, the entire audience was in silent awe.

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
