I could work there but I know it won't be the same (and I'm failing to find the £200 needed for deposit).

And although I know it's still wonderful and all that, I just think maybe it's time for a change. I've been every year since 2002. Seven year itch maybe??

I know you'll all miss me

But I will be back there next time, hopefully with a new found enthusiasm for the place

sorry to hear this, but I think it's wise. A few of my friends have made this decision this year and I must admit I came close before giving myself a slap. I think I went through the motions a bit last year and sort of walked round the site in more or less the same pattern as every other year, going to the same food stalls and pointing at things that we'd like to go and take part in but the queue was too big, getting smashed for the sake of it and woke up on Tuesday at home thinking "what happened this weekend? Did I make the most of it?" Determined to put that right this year. Anyhow, good luck with saving for the travels mate, hope that goes well.

That said, a year may give you time to appreciate Glastonbury again. I took a year out last year and also in 2006. It helps you get that giddy excitement back as the day approaches but on an even higher scale
