Anyone going to Vintage at Goodwood? the line up is so different from the usual festivals - you would NEVER be able to see this lot all in one place - also, a stage for each decade from 40's to the 80's, incl.an 80s warehouse,a 70's ROLLER DISCO with 2 floors and a burlesque club.I just cant get excited about any other festival after seeing this website and the press coverage, Lily Allens opening her clothes shop there too! - is anyone on here going?

Laura B and the moonlighters, mike sanchez (!!!!!!!!!) Pete longs gillespiana, ray gelato, simon donald, the floor technicians, the swing commanders, tim hellapoppin, black elvis, caezars, dragster, gaz rockin blues, keb darge (Legend!) jessie and the orbits, long tall texans, pete donegan, matchbox, simon the preacher, slim slip, THE DAMNED!, the highliners, the new forbidden, the polecats, the rezillos, wanda jackson, mike flowers pops, johnny dankworth tribute, john shuttleworth, johnny trunk, karminsky, lorraine bowen, people like us, the indigo club, the leisure society, the martini kings, the swingle sisters, ali b, craig charles (LOVE the bbc6 music show!) now thats what i call a line up of musical education!!!! (and apparently theyve got loads they havent announced yet)

From whats on the website, the whole idea is a different stage and area for each decade, and its all designed by wayne hemmingway who's idea it was, so you can be a rockabilly one night, then a mod the next,(Eddie illar is doing the soul casino stage) then mike flowers has got a chill out easy listening lounge and snowboys got a 40's burlesque club, and theyve got outdoor cinemas and high streets for each area so you get like a 50's launderette to do your washing and hair salons doing all the different styles and make up etc.... plus, proper vintage shops!!! think i just died and went to heaven!!! love to know if anyone else thinking of going and what camping option to go for as there are so many on the website? theres pods and caravans and all kinds of stuff, did glasto last year, and womad, but this looks so different, Iam definitely up for some of this!!! advice anyone?

does anyone have any idea how sales for this are going? It's my one festy this year that I'm not playing at (going as a guest) but I haven't met a SINGLE person who's bought a ticket. I know it's outside the usual "festy circuit" so perhaps sales are all happening in Chelsea ;) but I'm starting to wonder if it'll happen...

My hubby and I are going, and really looking forward to it... dunno about tix sales - we go ours 241 so it was a bargain!!! Just trying to decide whether to camp or drive down each day (we don't live too far away). Need to get some shopping done so I have at least one 'vintage' outfit to wear in advance of the festival!

I really hope its gonna be good :)

I was also there Sunday. Thought it interesting but a tad pricey for what was on offer (£55 for a day ticket plus £5 for parking plus extra charges for some of the internal attractions).

Many of those present clearly had plenty of cash to splash - the champagne bar was busy despite sky-high prices for a bottle of Veuve.

Liked the internal decoration in the different venues but disliked the amount of corporate branding and the high prices (£1.60 for a polystyrene cup of tea).

Still an interesting concept though. Will watch how it develops next year. Friends enjoyed it more than I did.
