The UK tour for later this month is to road test their new live band... Ready for coachella... hoping this adds to rumours they playing other festivals becuase thats a lot of testing for just one festival

Their new album is very different to anything that has played at reading/leeds

To be fair, tickets were only £17.50 incl fees so add the membership = £60 for 2.

i have to say i hate gorillaz with a massive passion and hope they are nowhere near the line up for R&L......sorry guys!

I think it would be a great step forward fo the festival if they booked them but I really can't see it. I don't even know where this non rumour has even came from.

Can people stop thinking the Gorlilaz would do a whole set using the CGI's it was a one off, think of the costs and set up time to do an 1.30 hour set...

Maybe the amount saved on a small headliner such as Arcade Fire?

Doubt the organisers would pay a huge ammount if Gorrillaz played, certainly not the same ammount as they'd pay someone like Mettallica for example.

I believe the most ever paid was £1 million to Oasis in 2000 but I could be wrong.

well back in the day when the darkness headlined they were rumoured to be demanding £1million to play Glastonbury, who wouldnt pay, but they ended up headlining R&L, would this suggest thats how much they got paid?

So they claim, was this ever confirmed by the organisers?

would organisers release that information? wouldnt it push everyone else's price up? i love the libertines but just cant see it being the same if they reform

Are they even that much of an attraction any more? I really like them but i think alot of people would be there out of curiosity and hoping it all goes tits up rather than actually being fans.
