Car Parks on Tuesday

We have decided we would like to get to G asap and get set up. We are travelling down in a camper and 2 cars. All will be staying in the Family field. The campers seem to be being let in at 12 yet the car parks are opening at 9. Nearly all the details I have read say that anyone coming down will have to stay in their cars.

It this the case for us as we would like to bimble down and set up?????

Camper Vans have facilities , wheras G have stated there will be none in the car parks I think, so it makes sense really.

If you are parked up in East then quite possibly you will be able to bimble over to the camper vans but realistically until a hell of a lot nearer the event and way more details coming from GFL, most of us are pretty clueless about how this staying in your cars thing is going to get policed!

This is only a guess. I would like to think they will let people who arrive in their cars go where they like just so long as if they want to sleep they don't try and pitch tents anywhere and just sleep in their cars. From what I have read there will be no facilities available in the carparks and if the campervan fields are opening up early I would expect that the planned facilities there would not be available until the Wednesday morning due to the presumption that vans/caravans will have their own and the supplied facilities would be over-run with folks from the carparks - again this is just a guess.

Forcing people to stay in their cars would be a little draconian if not illegal and as said before, difficult to police.

It could all end in tears - or floods of piss. Travel johns and she-wees may be advisable.

I'm sure they will have thought it through as most things usually are. But the idea of several thousand people in cars in car parks and no toilets doesn't sound sensible.

We're going to be in the campervan fields for the first time but our friends who will be sharing our trailer tent with us will be coming separately in another car.

If we can go in to the Campervan fields towing our trailer tent earlier than they can get into the car park it's going to be a bummer as we were hoping they'd be able to help us put everything up and establish camp.
