Extra Late Areas

I am very pleased about the new licence has been granted, it will hopefully ease or relieve entirely the traffic chaos that happened on the Wednesday last year, however that to me is not the exciting bit, and not just because I have a B&B booked on the Tuesday night 1 mile from site.

The bigger development is the expansion of the late night areas, for the last couple of years particularly last year you could not move down there after the headliners had finished, the bloody one way system down the railway tracks, although no doubt a necessity was horrible, it seemed everybody was being herded in and out like cattle: not good. However if the increase in size is as Paul indicates, (he has never been wrong before), on his fabulous GlastoEarth map with all of Clapps ground becoming part of the late night area, not only with this create much needed space, but should ease access considerably, I just can not wait.

Maybe there is now no need to miss a headliner, just to get down there early!!!

There are 10 of us this year, hoping to be camping in Pennards this year, previous years we have been camping in Big Ground, which is great, flushing toilets for god's sake, but always a long walk back at 5 or 6AM.

See you at my camp in Pennards, at about 5AM, for a chillout cider breakfast, we take two 3 metre tall green tipis, should be easy to spot!!!!

:P:P:P

I camped there in 2007, miles away from everything, except as you say John Peel stage and the dance village. Added to the fact that was a very bad year for the weather, I did not want to go back. So after 2 good years, 2008, 2009 on Big Ground we have decided to move south to Pennards.

So in answer to your question, Pennards is in the south of the site between the park and the stone circle, therefore is great for access to those areas and of course the late night areas in the south east corner of the site.

There's plenty of easier routes to Trash and Arcadia avoiding the Railway Track via the Tunnel, the markets, the Circus Field, the craft fields etc. Ya just have to know your way around to avoid the crowds. :P

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
