Seem to recall something about Oasis in 07 only allowing earlier songs to be televised and none from the new album. I think I watched some it back afterwards and it was a right old messy edit.

The news article here shows that there were increases in record sales after Glastonbury appearances. Would gather that the TV exposure certainly helps.
