Latitude or Wychwood?

Got to choose between these 2. I was thinking Latitude at first 'cos Elbow are rumoured to be playing. But a festival's more than the headliner right? And I can catch them on tour. Plus they may not play.

I have a 9yo so I want something quite kiddy friendly. Never been to either before. Only been to Blissfields. Am a bit worried that Latitude might be too big a jump from such a small festival.

Also this year will be the last year my daughter gets in for free at Wychwood. Wheras Latitude kids are free till they're 12 I think.

I have not been to Latitude before, but I did go to Wychwood for the first time last year. It is a brilliant family friendly festival, which usually has a great line up. Levellers are there this year which is a major plus for me. Very relaxed, not may of the fold up seat brigade who insist in sitting at the front. It never felt crowded, so you can easily get up close to the acts that you really want to see. I reooked at last years festival, which I don't normally do.

I would recommend it.

Cheers for that. I've booked Wychwood. Love the Levellers as well so will be good to see them.

Elbow - according to the words of Guy Garvey (as told tyo me) - are not planning on playing any festivals this year, as they're working on their new album.

It's possible - if they get the album finished early - that they might take a late festie booking, but that pretty much rules them out of being a major announcement for any festival.

Latitude is also very Family orientated but is quite busy. Don't think you can really go wrong by doing either festival.

Well, I like Lattitude, and I like Wychwood, but I dont really know which ones best.How can we find out?

Latitude is amazing, not been to Wychwood but I couldn't recommend Latitude enough!

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Greenman in this thread! If you're worried about the jump in size from wychwood, then greenman is perfect. I think its 11000 more or less, the line up is always incredible and it caters for kids superbly..

However if it came to a fight between wychwood and latitude i think the latter would win- They have lots of henchmen behind them in live nation
