Has anything more become of this carparks opening on a tuesday malarky? Has the council approved it?

I need to know this as in a campervan and if they are open dont need to book campsite for tuesday night!

I think a revised traffic management plan (TMP) will be submitted for some time in Feb/March, I can't find evidence of that though.

Multi-agency meetings might have already discussed the revised TMP, since the Festival de-brief where Licence Holder Melvin Benn proposed the Tuesday car parking as a solution, but I've not heard anything that confirms this.

If the plan does go through, I understand the campervan fields will open on Tuesday.

Will be great if the Campervan fields are open Tuesday night, don't fancy a 9 hour Wednesday journey next year in an aircooled bus

That plan currently stands as a submission to Mendip District Council, I don't know exactly when the meeting is I think it's February.

I am waiting for this info too as four of us are coming from Newcastle. If the car parks are not opening its a hotel for tuesday night like normal. If the car parks are opening tuesday night we are going to hire a campervan and sleep in the car park tuesday night.

I can't see how they will be allowed to do this. I thought that camping in the car parks or sleeping in a van there was against the rules and enshrined in the license on health and safety grounds.

I don't think they let campervans into the car parks at Glastonbury - you would need to buy a campervan pass.
