This should be a good move, it was too wedged into the space it was in this year with the crowds all on one side made it too cramped. It works so much better as a 360 degree stage with quad speakers in lots of space like it was at Glade festival and Bestival this year.

That's the same rig they had in 2008 at Glastonbury isn't it? Only we were allowed right up to the middle, people were on those bench things coming off the lamps.

Looked very similar to the setup from Glasto 2008, so probably. Glade people were allowed right up the middle as well, most people were probably congregated around the speakers which were kicking out stomping sound! I was in that crowd when Paulo999 was up on the hill taking that photo!

Arcadia vs Glade for my fave stage at Glastonbury, but I reckon Arcadia wins.

While I'm not exactly sure how big an acre is, I was thinking that there's probably not a 15 acre field at the Shangri-La end of the site unless it was perhaps what are currently the green fields. Which made me think they'd have to be quite a large swap-around with things.

Not quite - the middle section it had at glasto wasn't used at glade/bestival so the DJ booth/spire thing sat lower.

(Edit: oops - you said 2008. that was indeed the smaller version iirc)

The 360 set-up accomodated more people and felt a bit more intimate imo

I also liked the lower version cos you can get better pictures of the groovy dj booth! :b

could it go into The Park area - lots of room, had a fabulous night in Arcadia on friday this year, just wandered in, definately going to spend more time again next year
