Hotels nearby for the tuesday evening?

Ah, my plan is best really for those who have a big drive. Probably not ideal to be 20 miles away without a car!

There is a travelodge in glastonbury itself, tho ive never stopped there.

(im not a travelodge salesman or anything btw! its just that they can be super cheap sometimes)

We booked Taunton for £29 last year just before Christmas, at the moment it's £60. Checked Bridgwater just before ticket went on sale - £29, checked on Sunday night and it was up to £55.

We booked 2 rooms at glastonbury travelodge the week after this years fest and got them for £50 each. I think they are up to £60 ish now

The Portman Arms in Pylle (about two miles from Pilton on the A37) have their own camp site at the rear of the pub & you can guarentee good food and real ale!

After reading this we decided to book in for Taunton instead, only 20 minutes away by train. We just booked a family room for this hotel. Only £88 for between 4 of us.

I was thinking about this after it taking 14 hours to get there this year, anyone know any local hotels, and how much they charge? i really wana be one of the first in or at least in the site before midday so i can set up camp in a nice spot :-)

didnt get in 'til 11pm last year after and epic journey and had to set up in the dark!

Booked the Glastonbury Travel Lodge in July last year!! Stayed at Bridgewater last year but decided to get closer and lessen the queue.
