Have yet to receive my reference number and my tickets were booked at 9.30 this morning so I thought I'd use the ticket tracker system they have on the site only to find that you need your reference number so no luck with that grrrrrr and whenever I try to go on now to buy tickets again to see if I get the registration number has already been used I'm getting put in a queue!!!!

Seriouly - that's what I was told from the operator. I checked and re-checked and she confirmed serveral times that they were using the exact same web-based system as we are - to quote her exact words - "if you had an internet connection on the moon you would stand the same chance of getting through as we do".

Either that's the case or she was spinning me some serious bullshit! I can't see why she would mind.

Can anyone else confirm if they get through - has anyone got through on the phone in the last hour??? Were they able to book tickets straight away?

Thats just bullshit.

No, it's not. I was on the phone to a guy there this morning for almost 45 minutes, during which time he'd managed to get through to putting in our reg numbers, but not through to the recognising reg numbers page - we'd also chatted about our Saturday nights, both read the headlines on Daily Mash, looked at People of Walmart etc online - he was surfing the net just as I was. He ended up calling me back (after I'd already got through online).

So I just managed to get throigh on the phone and spoke to a nice girl at See.

Beleive it or not they are using the same system that we are to get tickets (i.e. the website!). She said I can stay on the line but it might take her 30-60 mins to get the screen up to process the tickets. Apparently they are just using a standard interent connection and have no special privilages into the system.

She's apperently only managed to process one order since 5PM!!!!

Shocking!

    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
    • Dug into Milkweed some more and this was a brilliant suggestion. Thank you 🙂   This will come as no surprise, but I have been told that there are some band substitutions to come.
    • Yeah, I think it's important to differentiate between a stage that's just a platform for the artist to walk on (which can be assembled fairly quickly and without too much difficulty), and the custom staging that you get in big productions where there's a whole world underneath.   Using the Eras tour as an example the stage extending out into the stadium field has all sorts - lifts that go up or down - down most importantly as this allows performers to enter or to leave the stage as needed. There's passageways to get from one part of the stage to another. There's what are effectively dressing rooms set aside for costume changes. There's spare instruments (and techs to look after them) so if something goes wrong above they can be swapped out in the space of seconds. There's even a track and dolly system running the full length of the stage so that Taylor can be moved from one end to the other faster than she'd be able to walk.   I don't know the specifics of the Madonna tour to the same degree but my understanding is that a lot of the same techniques are used.
