Bacon is real easy to cook (disposable BBQ every time) so I'd suggest bacon baps, couple of bananas, pint of UHT milk.

This will replace all the salt you lost sweating it up in the arena the night before, the milk will sort out your stomach and the calcium will give you a boost for the day, and the bananas kick start your digestive system, ready for some more bangers'n'mash-in-a-giant-yorkshire-puding or whatever your arena food of choice is. yum.

Forget warm, some giant chocolate chip cookies should do the trick with a can of Strongbow if you can manage it.

If you want warm food nothing beats bacon sarnies.

I was planning on taking one, a long with 3 instant bbq, one for each day

Tbh as far as the mc donalds idea goes, my friend lives on the A5, about 2-3miles away from weston, and i walked from his house to mc donalds, it was like 1-2 hours just from their, so your looking for a 3hour walk from weston to mc donalds, either that or get a taxi

A can of strongbow washed down with another can of strongbow, with a piece of bacon on the side.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
