Why are The Fall banned?!?

I believe it's because they were lower down the bill than the Levellers in 1992 (when they came back after a ten year ban) and MES announced from the stage something along the lines of 'we come back after a ten year ban and we're supporting the levellers - marvellous'. I'm guessing he was also an arse backstage.

Shame they're banned. The year after John Peel's death it would have been the ultimate tribute to bring them - his favourite band - back, rather than a hundred lame covers of Teenage Kicks.

Did you know that Paul Weller and Nick Cave are also banned? But it's strange the Manics aren't after their 'they should build a bypass over this shithole' comment and insisting on their own private toilet backstage.

The Fall don't do as many festivals anymore. I'd love to see them again. I think it's been more than 15 years since I've seen them. Last album was really good.

I saw them in November. I hadn't seen them before. I thought they were electric: they really lock into a groove and make it intense.

For a band with 27 albums that could be a tricky one.

Hipsters will tell you "This Nation's Saving Grace" is the place to start. Not that I disagree with this as its a fantastic listen. But the album that came out after it "Bend Sinister" would be my recommendation.
