Red Camping is just overated!

Generally Red is the more lively (I was stuck next some smackheads one year and it wasn't fun) and loads of people use it as a track to get to somewhere which sucks. Maybe I'm getting old but I prefer Blue or Orange myself.

We got into blue at 12 on Friday last year but there's no early bird entry this year so you could end up in someone's bbq area! Its luck of the draw, if you rock up early you get to queue, but then you can pick your spot and listen to everyone who turns up Sat morning moan there is no space.

ive camped in red every year apart from 2005 when i ended up in green which was a bit of a mish! got camped up next to some right idiots last year who made loads of noise at night but started shoutin at us for gettin up early! they cordened off their area with tape too and actually attached their tape to our tent was notimpressed! all in all though ive had great times in red camp, just hopin to not get camped next to idiots this year might try orange camp this year dependin on how far i can carry my stuff! lol!

If you get there early enough put the tents down over the space you need (plus grab a little bit in the centre so you have somewhere to cook / eat /collapse too drunk to make it into your tent) and start sticking them up. If you have mates coming then grab their tents and start putting them up too as anyone who turns up on a Saturday always ends up stuck for space.

when I first started going to V it was red all the way...

These days I stick loyal to orange. Not had any problems in there, but then never did in red either, but then we used to go right up to the back in red so avoided the scrum by the main entrance.

Orange is a total mission to get to from the car parks, but it is certainly where I will be heading again this year.
