Holts camping

what are the chances of camping at Holts if quite a few of us get down there in Weds day?

Will it be packed early and will it be noisy/busy?

i got there at lunchtime on wednesday last year and there was loads of space.

planning on the same field this year.

just not as close to the krishna tent, they drum all f**king night long.

people say its a busy/noisy field but i didn't really find it very different to places i've camped further out to the edges (dairy field and north of the john peel tent) so i guess anywhere is what you make of it, and who you camp with.

apart from the hare krishnas. i thought it would be the glade keeping me awake but they switch to a silent disco at around 2am.

I'm looking to do the same thing and the advice I've been given suggests that it wont fill until late afternoon

i actually quite like going to the krishnas late night after all the acts have finsihed but can see it would get a bit boring night after night of incesenat drumming. much in the same as actually being a hare krishna!!!

thanks josh. hmm tricky. i have a few of our camp not getting down till thursday day.

Well leave enough space for their tents by spreading yours out in a largish circle. Then when the others get there make the circle tighter which will free up more space if that makes sense
