Ok, so this is brought to you as a repost from The Register website.

Anyone flying in on Ryanair on Wednesday night/Thursday morning needs to do their online check-in before Wednesday 7pm.

Believe it or not, but this airline (which charges you £40 if you don't check-in online) is closing their website from 7pm Wednesday 24 June to 5am Thursday 25 June - the exact days we'll be off to Glastonbury. If you're not already checked-in, you'll be doing it at the airport with their extortionate surcharge.

I really hope that no-one's trip to Glasto gets affected by this "timely" activity.

yeah I got that email... I'd complain but my flights from marseille were a tenner return.

it grinds my gears when you pay the same as a real airline that uses real planes and has seat booking and other passengers that dont elbow me in the face for the ryanair service but when the flights are cheap it's ok.

And Brizzle - if it didn't stand at the time of your booking you should be ok - but double check your email.

Brizzle.

You will be charged if you don't check in online.

However, the reason why it's of importance to Glasto goers is that Ryanair are shutting down the site as precisely the time most people are flying to the festival meaning people cannot check in online and therefor charged 40 quid!

You get what you pay for with these airlines...........play by their rules and you can get a very cheap flight........dont and they will hammer you for it...........that my friends is your tough luck...........you have got to be on your toes with these guys............they have to make their money some how.............if everyone flying with them on all their flights only ever paid them a max of, lets say £30, they would not be in business too long.............

Nice to get these cheap flight these days............cheapest flights back in the 80s and 90s would of started at 100s of pounds!!

...you check in online and print out your boarding card...it's free...you don't pay for online check in anymore (unless you want priority boarding), whereas you pay to check in at the airport. You can check in and print out your boarding pass up to 2 weeks in advance, so this is fairly simple. I also can't see them charging people to check in at the airport on the day their website is down (but you never know with Ryanair!)...anyway, if you are flying with them you may as well check in now!
