Crowdsurfing is banned because there are too many injuries that can be sustained. I was watching Foo Fighters at Leeds fest '05 when a crowdsurfer went over my head. He managed to kick the top of my head in a way that I felt shockwaves travel down the length of my spine. I was in agony and found it very difficult to walk and move for a while afterwards. Thanks mr crowdsurfer ;):(

I had a tooth kicked out by a crowd surfer.

Two things now happen if you crowd surf over or near me.

1 you get a swift punch in the knackers

2 I under your shoes and nick them

If we all agree to punch these antisocial little shits then it will stop

I'm not sure about my views on crowdsurfing... The first gig I ever went to I got kicked in the face right at the end, and then all my friends met the band after, and I was just sat on the pavement not really knowing what was going on due to mild concussion  But in certain situations I reckon it's fine. I've almost done it before but chickened out cos I don't want to get groped and also it looks really scary.

To me though, it doesn't seem like something to do at a festival... I'd only do it if I thought the majority of the crowd wouldn't mind, and at Glastonbury I think the audience might be too diverse and I'd feel it would upset people, whereas at, say, a Reel Big Fish gig, I wouldn't feel like people would mind so much. Does that make any sense or am I way too tired?

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
