Vista webcam sidebar gadget

UPDATED due to changed URLs 29/05 18:00

This has already been mentioned in the webcam thread but I've started a thread for the gadget as the BBC have a habit of changing the picture URLs occasionally which means updating the gadget (they've already changed the main Pyramid URL today).

Anyway, the gadget sits in your Vista sidebar (or Windows 7 desktop) and looks like this when you click on it:

You can download it from here (Thanks to Cheesey for hosting).

If for any reason your browser downloads it as a .zip file instead of a .gadget file please see /index.php?s=&showtopic=122202&view=findpost&p=2805313">this post to resolve.

To install it, just double click the downloaded .gadget file and confirm. Once it's installed, click it to see the panoramic.

I can't take the credit for this, someone posted a similar version on here a few years ago, and I just amended it to show all 3 pics side by side, but I'll try and sort out any problems.

Just to reiterate, if you installed the one posted in the webcam thread earlier, you will need to download the latest version as it has the updated url included...

The Pyramid one works fine, but the other 2 dont seem to update :S still says 7pm on those two, am i doing something wrong?

Excellent idea man. Mine has been installed to the side bar but its blank with a red x in a box in the left hand corner.What have I done wrong?Thanks

When I click the link it comes up "open" or "save" and i've tried both but nothing in the file seems to work? What am I doing wrong?

Mine is updating now, just seems to do it slightly slower than on the website, like my pyramid one is still on 2:30pm, no real problem, thanks for making it

Haha im definately getting there now, ive watched the pyramid and other updated a fair few times, but the one on the left wont seem to ! still at 5pm ish

only the pyramid screen refreshes on my laptop anyone know a way of fixing this?
