Oooo...I bought a hat on Saturday. I love it. It's a typical festival hat though, nothing exciting or extravagant!

Been doing my Glasto packing cos I am moving on Wednesday. Found the pirate hat, the burlesque feather headress, the deerstalker for cold nights (sleeping in), the russian hat for cold nights (partying in), the dreadlocks (wooly ones)...oh and my left over stash of *ahem* which I found in my bag still inside my mini program at Heathrow...luckily passed it off in a purse I gave to my dad to return home with strict orders to put it with my Glasto packing!

I have a collection of 'bucket' style hats that I've amassed during my festival shenanigans, trying to decide which ones to take. Think I'll take a wide rimmed one for the inevitable scorching sun and my 'stone roses' one which I decorated Jackson Pollock style with dayglo fabric paints

my hat from last year is hanging on the bedroom wall as an everlasting shrine to last years festival, I may break it out again for this year.

Every year I go to a festival I want to buy a hat, last year I devoted Thursday to finding one that I didnt look a complete t**t in. Needless to say I didnt buy one , so this year is no exeption, I will look for a hat on Thursday and hope that I will buy one this year

This year I will mainly be wearing.........a cowboy hat with asorted badges.....a furry hair baseball cap....and a fez!

The kids have tried hiding them but I know where they are....so phlurp! to them.

oh and a beret....ala wolfy smith.(che turns in his grave)

I've been given a rather fetching gold sun god thing for my birthday which will have to be given an outing. Also a pirate hat for everday use.

After 6 years service my trusted festival hat shrunk in the rain at Bestival last year.

Other half got me a 'cat in the hat' hat from Disneyland, but it's just not the same as my trusty old fedora with a pink tinsel wig on top

In 2007 my dad used one of the free glastonbury bags they give you on the gates as a hat all weekend, he was quite wasted haha

And i think it was the sunday that we met a guy who used a bucket as a hat, we called him 'bucket head'.. very inventative
