Been confirmed on the Soni Twitter that it will be alternative stages all the way, so the end will be Alice, NIN, Avenged, Metallica. Unfortunately means that NIN will be playing completely in daylight, but that's minor. Gonna be a great day! Mad dash between Alice and NIN then!

Quit moaning about the set times.

NIN have a bigger set that A7x: positive.

It's possible to watch all three: positive.

If you like A7x you're going to be in a shit position for Metallica: positive (not just because I think A7x are to music what fosters are to beer, but also because it means people who are primarily there for Metallica will be at the front)

Nobody's forcing you to leave the stage to catch A7x and be a long way back for Metallica. And the only way around it would have been to half the amount of acts they booked.

Yeah Id prefer them to be on later, but thats generally how other places do it, as NIN play on the same stage as Metallica. The only way to do it with NIN before metallica would be to switch them to the other stage, or have them on before metallica ont he same stage, but that would drastically cut their set time down.

I'd prefer a 30 minute wait between NIN and Metallica and being able to get near the front for NIN without having to leave AIC early. Better than standing there for a whole hour while Metallica wait for A7X to finish their w*nk.

Unfortunately not going to happen, much as I feel the same. Love NIN, love Alice, love Metallica, so somethings gonna have to give, and I fear it will be leaving before Alice have finished their set! Still, great lineup!!! Only missing Maiden really. Can't decide if this is better than AC/DC, Van Halen, Ozzy, Crue (Donington 84), or Maiden, Kiss, Roth, G 'n' R, Megadeth (88).

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
