Contrasts with TITP

First time Rockness'er, serial T in the Park'er.

Been going to T for 7 years straight & decided to take in a different festival this year along with T.

So who's been to both?

How does the atmosphere differ?

Less of a ned presence I'd imagine

Better Ampsphere.

Better lineup ( IMO )

Better toilets

Better layout ( Doesnt take you a year to walk to arena )

Better Location.

Less neds.

Less people ( Easier to move )

Less hassle ( Its alot friendlier )

T has got a bigger array of artists tho, Rockness doesnt feel like the Irn Bru Carnival either. And its alot smaller.

Better IMO.

Have to agree with the above posters.

Generally atmosphere is better.

Weather seems to always be better.

Less walking involved.

Beautiful scenery.

Etc etc

Only think I found was there was more folk stealing stuff out of peoples tents. That could just be my eagle eye by I didn't see much of that at TITP even though I know it goes on there too.

Done 6 T's, 2 Rockness's.

-The site at Rockness is smaller so it's far easier to get around.

-Yes there are less neds, there's a far nicer atmosphere with the same buzz.

-Campsite has a beer exchange.

-You have more choice of drink in the arena.

-There is entertainment until 4am.

-Toilets are cleaner.

-Site is stunning.

-The mainstage has like a natural bowl looking down on it so you can get a good view from everywhere.

-Security isn't as daft(ie scanning tickets all the time).

I'm sure there are more but can't think! You'll have a belter either way!

*edit* it takes 5 minutes to walk from the campsite to the arena.

I was glad to see the back of TITP last year where as with Rockness it's more homely and was quite upset to be leaving! (in a manly way of course)

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.

    • I don't think I'm alone as a Scotland fan that there is no way that I could possibly fall asleep knowing we're about to play our first World Cup game in 28 years! Pure adrenaline is keeping me wide awake (and plenty of rum)!
