Bloc Party?

At the end of their set at leeds last year they said they won't be back for a long time. Seems strange for them to be back in the same slot wonder if they where really struggling for someone who would fit under Radiohead.

I thought it was a bit weird how they were booked again last year after playing so high up in 2007 but this is just getting silly now...

im hoping that maybe offspring or weezer play above them becuase they really were awful last year. and i dont want to sit through bloc party to get a good spot to watch the head

i've read really bad things about last year's set, but i went to see them in january and they were brilliant. if they play like that again, i'm sure it'll be an improvement.

i'm personally ok about them playing this spot again, but only because i've never seen them at a festival...so we'll see.

Also they are below 3 other bands a t so why are they second at leeds?

However thought they were quality last year.

Has anyone thought tho that this is maybe due to the influence of Radiohead and the fact that maybe they had a say in the bands playing below them - Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs etc....Maybe they asked for Bloc Party to be 2nd below them

Well now I make it two years where the Sunday at Reading has been 2nd headlined by a novelty act, both novelty acts in their own right, as Bloc Party playing high up year after year is so ridiculous it's funny.

When I saw the line up and saw Bloc Party were playing again my heart sank. WHY? They aren't that popular and they aren't very good.

I reckon they wanted Moz for that spot but the old bugger turned them down.
