Random stages

Hey Guys,

Since I'm bored and on my own in my house, I think it will be usefull to kill some time by asking you lot this:

My dad said I could go off on my own for a few hours, as well as meeting you guys for an hour, I'm probably going to have a little explore on my own too. I was just wandering if there are any random stages that no one really knows about playing quality bands on the thursday. I know about the rabbit hole located in the park, and I know about the tents around the green feilds aswell and obviously the queens head, but is there anywhere else I could go on the thursday for some quality entertainment or a hidden bands tent anywhere?

Cheers,

I think it's easier to list the places that won't be open - Pyramid, Other, JazzWorld, Park, John Peel, Acoustic, Avalon, The Glade, Dance East, Dance West, the G stage, and the stages in the Theatre/Circus fields.

Take a look on the excellent GlastoEarth. I'd expect most places not listed above to be open on the Thursday, and a fair number of them from Wednesday onwards.

Blackhole:

If you've only got a few hours on a sole wander, the above recommendations are good - Green Fields you can kind of amble around and do as much/little as you want. Some people might find it not lively enough, but for others it's the quality bit of the festival.

The Park is also a good bet, and a little livelier, although you might struggle to do both in just a few hours.

If you are wandering on your own, don't be afraid to team up with some randoms of your own age. The oldies will be fun and okay, but it's more fun to explore with your own age group. Just use your own judgement - you can always wander off if you aren't comfortable.

One serious risk though... if you start having a reallllly good time, try not to be late for Dad

I thought i'd found a hidden stage when I found the Glade stage last year. I was just having a walk around and stumbled across this magical stage in the woods. I was a little twisted and wondered if i'd wandered into some sort of portal and been transported to some crazy little wood somewhere where I could dance and smile all afternoon. Then someone from walked past and said hi and I realised that I was still at Glasto and a stones throw from where I was camping. I'll be spending a lot of time there this year. Ahhh goosebumps again!!!
