After seeing the thread about seeing bands who then go on to become successful, i thaught it would be interesting to see if anyone has seen any bands recently who they think could be 'the next big thing'.

I recently saw a fresh new band called New Education supporting the Twang at a tiny university student union gig, i think they possibly could be big in the future. Others i have seen include-

connan mockasin

phantom sound

wild beasts.

any bands i should look out for in the future?

Not seen these but;

The Republic Tigers; get hold of their album if you can, they could well be the next big thing, sort of MGMT but better imo.

(I emailed their tour manager to see if there was any chance of a glastonbury/european appearance, he said that they hadn't thought about it but was a good idea and would look into it, so they could play)
