Hollywood Undead is possibly the worst opener to a Download weekend yet. Will definitely be checking out Steadlur now.

Would've thought Steel Panther could've opened the Main Stage on Sunday - nevertheless, will check them out so long as not clashing with Chris Cornell - don't personally like Cornell's solo stuff but will be wanting a half-decent spot for The Prodigy.

At least Lawnmower Deth still in a decent spot, still happy with that.

Shame The 69 Eyes are on the Sunday where they could've clashed with just about anyone, wherever they wound up on the 3rd stage - will probably have to miss them which is a shame.

Don't care about the other bands, though will check out the lesser knowns in hope of a decent time filler on the Friday.

From Wikipedia: "Hollywood Undead is a rap rock band from Los Angeles,California, formed in 2005. The band members perform in individual masks in order to maintain an air of mystery.[1] This originated from the members' MySpace profile which they filled with pictures of themselves in hockey masks.[2]"

The band consists of cleverly named members such as:

Charlie Scene

Johnny 3 Tears

J-Dog

Da Kurlzz

Deuce AKA Tha Producer

Funny Man

And for that reason - i'm out.

I swear to God, if they're anywhere near Download this year, I will wait in my SUV, blast me some speed metal, 5.1 surround sound heavy on the bass, and someone will be getting mowed down.

i always love it when people use this argument to try and defend a band. cos i'm sure the band and their record company think

'Right, so guys, we've got the album down now we gotta release something off it to promote ourselves and make ourselves popular. Ideas?'

'Hey, i know, why don't we spend loads of time and effort and money recording a video and promoting and doing interviews for that f**king shit song that none of us like? It's rubbish, yeah? And in no way represents our sound yeah?'

'Great idea! Go for it!'

:D

i do appreciate that completely, and i agree! but my point is that i think it's stupid when people use that argument to try and convince people to like a band. normally once i've heard a band's singles or seen their videos or lsitened to their myspace, thats what i use to make a judgement of them - and i'm pretty sure that it's what the band are hoping people are going to enjoy, otherwise why release it?! and if i think that the songs i hear are shit, i assume i'm quite likely to think the rest of their stuff is shit! if i dislike the music they're using to promote themselves, i'm hardly about to go out and buy the 'limited edition japanese import b sides and rarities' cd or whatever am i?

Salt. I wasn't trying to make people like them with my comment. I was just saying I'm looking forward to seeing them. They are a bit different from 90% of the bands at download. And was just making a remark about their released song.
