Yeah if you join the line of girls outside one of the dressing rooms you should be good. Wear something revealing and i'm sure they're ..ahem want to 'hang out' with you :D

(really sorry, but i'm bored and this seemed like an easy shot; take no notice of me, i'm just another obnoxious w*nker from the internet)

No worries. That side of festivals is over for me...dont think the missus would be too happy about it!

And the guy with no username...from what I was told the other day entries to the "play at Glastonbury" competition thing have closed. I dont know if there's another way to get in or not. But good luck if you do...what band are you in?

anyone who's had any dealings with thesse festivals before will know the "veil of secrecy" they try to throw over the whole thing to increase intrest. We've been asked not to reveal yet, but I was wondering if there were any smaller bands who have gigs

I really wish they would rethink this. I love to go round the smaller stages finding gems, but I've not got an encyclopaedic knowledge of music so it’s all a bit hit and miss. If they released the line-up starting with the smaller stages and working their way up to main stage headliners it would retain the excitement, rumours and predictions but would also allow people like me time to do a little research and get the best of the smaller acts the exposure they deserve.

Apologies if I don't say...anyone who's had any dealings with thesse festivals before will know the "veil of secrecy" they try to throw over the whole thing to increase intrest. We've been asked not to reveal yet, but I was wondering if there were any smaller bands who have gigs...I love meeting new mucisians and bands and hanging out with them at festivals!

Guess I'm in the wrong place though! Apologies!

:):) Actually you'd recognise me...so I'll see you there then!

As for the veil of secrecy, incident is right. This year at Glastonbury many of the smaller bands aren't yet confirmed...think about V festival. They've released their main lineup already but there is no information available to the public as to the smaller bands performing.

And III...I'll check you guys out, new music is always great and fresh to listen to!

    • Have a great festival to those that are going, I cant wait to get there tomorrow!
    • ah i get ya.. Yeah I hate festivals that have that barrier and front section. Roskilde is gonna be the same, which I'm not looking forward to navigating. Like you say, you end up missing other stuff having to get there dead early. Luckily there's not much we're arsed about on at Roskilde though so that wont be such an issue! hahaha
    • Not directly my expectation but my wishlist   - car seat headrest (it has been way too long these guys did Europe) - death cab for cutie - new constellations - interpol - bush - swimschool - suede - the haunted youth (should have been there this year) - flipturn   and oh yes Yumi Zouma can come any week, day, hour but this is a personal fetish with this band

    • Broco have European dates in Czechia and Slovenia the day before and after so I would be shocked if it were them, despite them having no other UK festival presence this summer.   Bilmuri are a shout as I don't think it'll be someone massive.
