TBC status on the rumours page

I just wondered how it is decided to put a band up on the rumours page with a TBC.

I just noticed a mates band updated as a TBC in a new update today.

They want to play but I had not heard anything off them.

a band gets marked as a TBC if/when we get info which tells us that that particular band are playing.

Some (quite a lot actually) come from our own sources, while others come from public sources such as a band's myspace.

Unfortunately, sometimes tiny unknown bands put Glastonbury on their myspace just because they're attending it (rather than performing at it), so there's always the possibility for error. Sometimes, because we suspect that's why it's listed, we don't list it.

I hope that explains it.
