apols if this has already been posted BUT it looks as if the gods will shower is with kindness...

Met Office latest:

"UK Outlook for Thursday 25 Jun 2009 to Saturday 4 Jul 2009:

During the end of the first week and into the first weekend the weather across the United Kingdom is expected to be largely fine and settled. Most places will experience sunny spells, although there will be a continuing threat of persistent low cloud affecting some eastern and northeastern coastal districts. The afternoon temperatures away from these eastern coastal areas are expected to be either warm or very warm, but perhaps hot in places. Then as we move into the second week the current indications are that the weather will be more unsettled and less warm, and cloudier conditions with either showers or more prolonged rain are expected to spread to many areas at times. However, there are also likely to be some brighter periods mixed in.

Updated: 1258 on Sat 20 Jun 2009"

That backs up the latest unisys charts which show dry dry dry through the fest including next weekend.

in 2007 the rain for The Who was the final straw to an appalling rain marred festival. This little set of showers will be nothing like that, if they do infact come and Blur will bounce through any thunderstorm.

Here's to a very sunny with the occasional light shower festival. The best thing is, we will be showered with rainbows!!!!! yay

Somebody please tell me to pull myself together....I keep getting thoughts of 2005 popping into my brain. Off to a BBQ in a bit and will be drinking copious amounts of speckled hen to stop these crazy thoughts

    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
