Covered pub/bar areas

hello everyone, went to glastonbury for the first time last yr but pretty much stuck to the main areas (other stage/park/john peel etc) and was wondering if there were any areas where u can get food/drink and sit out of the rain lol- going for longer next yr and hoping to find some!

avalon café, in the avalon field, is a marquee type tent with tables & benchesand a little stage in the corner for bands. very nice.

Bimble Inn was very welcoming... Don't ask me where it is tho cos I have no idea. I just remember spending alot of time there! Oh Henry's Beard Cafe!... again I have no idea where it was!

Found the Bimble Inn in 2007, alongside the bikini clad mud wrestlers. Real ale and mucky women, what more can a man ask for ?

...but it had gone in 2008 !

What happened, anybody know ?

tiny tiny bit of mud after the rain on thursday night, but it dried very quickly! :angry:

The Bimble in is kinda in that pic, but it was just behind the white stage (BBC Introducing)

Was the brown one not the Rabbit Hole?

I think the gist is stay off the beaten track and walk away from the main stage areas and you'll find some right good goldmines!

Bimble Inn the first white tent on the right as you went through the arches into the Park area. Nice fire to sit around on the Sunday night

My favourite bar (I have no idea what it's called ) is down some steps, off the railway track up past Lost Vagueness, it had table football, a massive fire going on and it was really cool

Ok its not a covered pub or bar but if you are broke and hungry try this place ...

They are a good bunch of people and feed a lot of people free of charge.

Worth knowing if finances go pear shaped mid-festival !

yeah but i was camped about 5 metres to the right of that tent & they played their drums ALL EFFING NIGHT

when we camped there i thought it would be the noise from the glade would be the problem would be the noise from the glade but no, they seem to be a bit more understanding towards the needs of their fellow man and switched to a silent disco at around 2am. unlike those deluded idiots... iys not even a proper religion
