Hi everyone. Looking to go Opener this year but need some advice. Signed up to see if anyone can help! Basically I would be flying from liverpool into Gdansk on the 1st july. What is the transport from Gdansk to the festival? Secondly, my return flight would be at 6am on the 6th. How would I get back to Gdansk from the campite in time for flight. Are there trains/buses running that late? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Same here, just the two of us going I'd be well up for a meet up over the week/weekend. Trying to learn some key Polish phrases of my Polish mate, but don't 100% trust him haha. I'll probably end up gettin slapped asking for a burger or something!!

Some polish acts have just been added. Maria Peszek, The Car Is On Fire, Gaba Kulka, Łąki Łan, Village Kollektiv, Sofa i Renton. For you from UK I would recomend The Car Is On Fire, Gabriela Kulka and Renton- they sing in Englishm and they're not worse than the rest of international bands.

Gaba Kulka, in Polish, but she has many english lyric too.

Someone asked about cameras... 3,2 mpix allowed, no more.

And a journey Lpool- Kraków- Gdynia is not a good idea if you have an option to get a flight to Gdansk/ Poznan, or even Warsaw. You can spend even 12 hours in a train from Kraków.

And if you're intrested in some more events in Poland- Selector Festival (Franz Ferdinand, Fisherspooner, Royksopp, Orbital, Digitalism and more) in Kraków- about 50 euros for 2 days- seems to be great.

Cheers

Are they physically going to inspect my camera if i bring it!? Its seems a bit stupid, because any camera that you buy today is going to be nearly more than 3.2

If i was to scratch off any indication of 3.2 megapixels on it, would i get away with it!? I just wanna capture some cool moments of the fest is all!

It's really common in Poland... Unfortunatelly. They usually don't give a shit about small ones, but if you want to bring big Nikon D90 whit a brand new huge objective or this kind of stuff, you have to be carefull. There's no problem if you want to bring it in, i think the security has no right to look for it in your luggage, they only might ask you about it, but they can see you taking a photos during gigs.

Hi guys, bought my tickets last week from the alter art shop, the money has come out of my bank account, just wondering what the next step is? Is "Ticket printout" on the alter art website the thing I need to take to the festival to exchange for my wristband? Thanks.

hey, never been to open'er before- definitely considering it; line-up looks good, and great value for money.

just wondering if anyone who has been before could tell me what the dance music situation is like?

the website says there are 2 electronic stages- are these any good? what time do they go on until?

and is it easy to pick up... you know whats? good quality?

thanks!

    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
