in three words - totally worth it! very chilled atmosphere, some great shows and extremely reasonable price. not to mention that Gdynia is very pretty place.

I think it is doable. There are free buses from festival territory to centre of the city, and I'm sure you can find a decent place to stay there. Gdynia is not that big and public transportain system works very good so I think there would be no problem with getting from your hotel to festival bus to festival. I don't know how it works at night though - sure there will be buses that take you from festival to city after most bands have played, but it might be quite difficult to get it one since crowds that leave the festival site after the gigs are pretty huge. Then again, we met people who said they're staying in the city and it seemed they all are doing okay.
