Went to see James supported by Athlete on Saturday, they were effing amazing, would love to see them at Glastonbury, please please please let them be on the lineup when it's announced!

We didn't see them all the other years they were there back in the 90's, but they put on such a spectacular show, and one of the first things we said to each other as we left was, "they'd be so good at Glastonbury".

They played a mix of old and new, and EVERYONE was dancing their socks off, even the old crones up at the very back in the seats

Saw them at Brixton last night and they were incredible. Started with Tim Booth and Larry Gott (on guitar) weaving their way through the audience while playing Lose Control to get to the stage. Ended with mass stage invasion and dancing for Laid. If you've never seen James I would really recommend it. Definitely one of the best live acts I've seen and I've been to a few. They would be great at Glastonbury - Sit Down would be one of those Glastonbury moments!

Their 98 show was great, despite it being in the pouring rain. England had just beaten Colombia in the world cup, Foo Fighters were giving score updates during the first half, second half was live on the big screens. James had a victory set and a defeat set lined up, having refused to play while the footy was on, and fortunately they got to play the victory set!

Good times, would be great to see them back, and I reckon pretty likely.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
