Hi all

I was just wondering if anyone has ever purchased and more importantly RECEIVED any tickets from a company called SOS Masterticket? a friend of mine purchased a ticket for next weekends V Festival from them and since we've heard nothing but bad comments of false dates for non exisiting concerts/over charging/no show on tickets. just really panicing now that this is a hoax site and she's been ripped off. they claim they specialise in sold out events however the cost of the tickets are cheaper than those on ebay. shes been ringing them to see when she would receive her ticket and was promised it would be by next wednesday (we all have ours as of yesterday from ticketmaster) and late last night got an email to say sadly they cant get the tickets out and now she has to ring a mobile number for some guy and meet him Friday for the ticket actually at V!! the company has a London landline number and an office in Spain! the email we got says July (concert is August)which they claim is a typo (says it twice!!) and according to many horror stories on the net others have had the same problems. I just think it all sounds so dodgy - how can these hundreds of people ring this one guys number n meet him the Friday morning?? they cant really can they?!! The more i read what im writing the more i think its a fix - all internet stories are from people in a similar situation to me and i cant find any that say people have/haven't ever got tickets! We've rang both the office and the mobile number and they have tried fobbing us off but now the office arent answering and the guy on the mobile became very hostile and was swearing n abusive saying speak to the office!! Anyone out there who's bought tickets n its been ok/hasnt please can you let me know ASAP? obviously she isnt prepared to drive 4 hours down there to find she has to go back home!!

Thanks all

Catherine xx

hi all, I was just wondering how you all fared with your V tickets in the end? Did you manage to get them from this guy? I have stupidly bought tickets from this site for this weekends reading festival and am starting to get very worried after hearing these stories.

Hope everything worked out ok.

cheers

I HAD THE SAME RUBBISH WITH THE E-MAIL AND THE REPS PHONE NUMBER. EXACTLY THE SAME AS EVERYBODY ELSE!

AND AFTER COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS AND TRAVELLING ALL THE WAY TO HYLANDS PARK ON THE FRIDAY, THROUGH THE 4 HOURS OF TRAFFIC, TO THE ACTUAL FESTIVAL GATES! I WAS FINALLY 100% SURE THAT "RICHARD BARKER" AND SOS MASTERTICKET HAD TOTALLY ROBBED ME OF MY TIME, MONEY AND ABOVE ALL MY FESTIVAL EXPERIANCE. THERE WAS NO SOS "BOOTH" HANDING OUT OUR TICKETS, OR NO REP. I WONDERED AROUND THE ENTIRE FESTIVAL PERIMETER FOR 4 HOURS TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF THE SITUATION, LOOKING FOR THE ELLUSIVE "BOX OFFICE" AND WATCHING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, WITH TICKETS ALREADY IN HAND, GOING STRAIGHT IN! WHAT AN ABSOLUTE PISS TAKE. IT WAS MEANT TO BE MY FIRST FESTIVAL!

I THINK THERE SHOULD BE SOME SORT OF PARTITION OR GROUP THATS READY TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE! PEOPLE WILL TAKE NOTICE OF THINGS IF ITS BACKED BY HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE RATHER THAN JUST 1!! I KNOW THERE IS THOUSANDS OUT THERE WHO HAVE BEEN ROBBED BY THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! SO JOIN THE FORUM IF ITS JUST FOR THIS ONE PURPOSE!!!!

I AM NOT JUST GONNA SIT AROUND AFTER ALL OF THIS, AND WATCHING THE FESTIVAL ON TV, KNOWING THAT A GROUP OF BLOKES AFTER MY £180 HAS CAUSED ME TO HAVE SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE FOR MY FIRST FESTIVAL! THEY ARE COMPLETE BASTARDS

PLEASE LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS!!! OR SHARE YOUR LATEST EXPERIENCE SINCE THE FESTIVAL. SOME THING MUST BE DONE!

JOIN THIS FORUM EVEN IF ITS JUST FOR THIS PURPOSE !

THANK YOU.

Yep, got bummed by these absolute c**ts as well! Bought my tickets in April for the Leeds Fest, for me and a friend after being unable to get them anywhere else thinking these guys looked legit (oh how naive I was). Never bought festival tickets on the internet before.

Paid 400 squid via credit card in which the payment came out day after.

Since then me and other friends (who got their tickets already) have not been able to stop talking or contain our excitment about the Leeds fest and spending the weekend together as we dont get to see each other too often these days.

Sosmasterc**ts constantly kept promising the tickets would arrive a month before, then 2weeks before, then spoke to them for the last time a week ago to confirm the tickets would definately arrive today. Was constantly cacking myself over the weekend dreading that those tickets weren't really coming, and waited with baited breath for the postie today only to get nothing. And well, tried to call them again, after just now reading several threads on this company, the worst is confirmed.

Rang the Trading Standards to advice of the situation as am just shocked to see that their website is still up and running and selling tickets! They've had loads of people reporting this BUT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT? I asked why they cant stop the website AT THE VERY LEAST so that no more people would go through this nightmare situation and they advised that they really cant do anything about the website! Its really incredible that a scam company as huge and as well reported as this who have taken probably hundreds of thousands cannot be stopped. I mean, is it really not possible for them to stop internet scams when they have been found out and reported?

For guys like Vfest though its so much harsher. I dont actually know how I would take it having gone through all that you did actually being at the gig then finally realising it was all a sham. I feel for you dude, truly i do. thats the kinda sh*t poeple would riot for.

I really hope these guys get what they deserve but I very much doubt anything will come of it.

So as a last resort I purchased a ticket off ebay paying twice the price but my friend wasnt willing to pay over the odds which is fair enough but its not gonna be the same without her. I dont have money to burn far from it, but after building up so much excitement, buying tents, booking off work etc., and really wanting to be with my best mates to see at least 15 of our favourite bands i had to get a ticket. but again, i now have to wait if this Ebay dude will deliver with the goods. if he doesnt then he will have the pleasure of a stalker who now has a free weekend.

Lesson learnt, and Budweiser you little sh*te you can goto hell.

i must say, this thread/situation has certainly hightened my confidence about the imminent arrival of my reading tickets from SOSmasterticket

me and my girlfriend ordered a pair of weekend reading tickets from her computer using her mum's card in June/July kind of time

we cant find out if she's had anything delivered or phone calls from SOSMT until wednesday, because she's on holiday and gets back on wednesday

all my lucky friends who managed to get tickets off seetickets when they were released got them without a hitch a couple of days ago

not only that, the lovely people at SOSMT have manged to knick 800 pounds from my girlfriends mum (double what we shouldve paid by SOSMT's site); the first time we tried to buy the pair of tickets it came up with 'there has been a problem proccesing your order, please go back and try again', so (being young and gullable) we did and they've only gone ansd taken the money from both the orders

my girlfriends mum managed to get through to them and they promised a refund for the first order, which as far as i know hasnt happenned

i am NOT hopeful :)

i guess i can still cling to the hope that it might all be ok like at T in the Park

does any one know what SOSMT are saying about reading tickets at the moment??

how come these websites are not being shut down by some kind of fraud-fighting police system or something?

its ridiculous!

Perhaps the site is open so the police/fraud squad have a better chance of investigating it - thats if they are, which is doubtfull. I reckon they'll be closed by the end of the week once the complaints have started to esculate, especiallt leading up to Leeds & Reading. Good Luck.

I also got scammed by them aswell I did a company check and found out the directors name is Mr Robert Edward Darling and he lives at 3 Dodd House, Rennie Estate Rotherhithe New Road, London, SE16 3PJ. Not sure if it is true though because he could of used a false name and address when he registered the company.

he should be ashamed, or at least found at beaten up!

i bet its not a real name or address though...

ANYBODY THAT HAS BOUGHT TICKETS FROM S0S MASTER TICKET HAS BEEN ROBBED!!!!!!

ACCEPT IT NOW!

IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF PAIN IN THE FUTURE!

The registered address I found for the company is:

SOS MASTER TICKETS LIMITED 2ND FLOOR 145-157 ST JOHNS STREET LONDON

The number was 0207 978 0136, not that that works any more.

The police advised me to call Camden Council trading standards on 020 7974 6924

These told me to send a letter by recorded delivery, stating that SOS Master Tickets is in breach of the "supply of goods or services act 1982", through non-performance, failing to abide by the contract and deliver the goods by the agreed time. In the letter you must tell the company that you give them 14 days to refund your money.

Assuming you don't get a positive response (if you did I'd fall over in surprise), take the refusal or returned letter to your bank and to the trading standards people. My bank (Barclays) said that if I did as the Trading Standards people adviced and the company didn't respond or responded with a refusal I would get the money back, because it was a card payment. Of course, I still have to find some Reading tickets somewhere - but at least I know I'll get this money back!

Call the Trading Standards number and get a reference number first, write the letter, then call your bank. Good luck.

This is annoying its happened to all of us, mainly cuz rage are playing, but also bcuz these scum of the earth people have stolen our money and in the nastiest way, and theyv prob done it before and they will again and theyll get away with it cuz its the internet, and im no genious but im sure that address and name and everything was fake!

one good thing has come out of this, and thats we could have lost more money and although its not what you wana hear wev all learnt a lesson and thier are people who have been ripped of by far more than a couple of hundred and a good weekend so we should be lucky that we can put it down to a mistake and exprience!

Thank you to everyone with advice. Im gonna ring the trading standards and see what i can do, and ive reported it on watch dog and told google and id advise people to do the same just so no one else uses sos ticket master!

I contacted my bank again today and they are sending me a declaration form to fill out and post back. They said I should get my money back in 30 days. I was initially told I couldn't claim it back because I had used my debit card. However, i'd already been told on saturday to the contrary.

I pursued and stood my ground and they reversed their position and have now agreed i have a case. The left hand and the right and all that...

Anyway, it's f**king SOS Mastercriminals i'd like to pay for this. I've learnt a sore lesson and yes, if i lived in london i would consider going round and KICKING OUT TEETH, but lets face it, these guys have probably used false info all the way.

If they haven't there's a chance these c*cks will be banged up.

That would make me very happy.

ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THEY'RE GOING TO READING OR LEEDS DUE TO THE GRACE OF SOS MASTERTICKET + FORGET IT + WORK AT GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK RIGHT NOW!!! DON'T HOLD OUT FALSE HOPE.

LOOK FOR A LEGIT SOURCE IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GO. Don't make the same mistake as me with V.

One more thing that still worries me is the security of my account now. I can't really recall all of the details i gave, though i printed out my 'receipt.'

Anyone have advice for me and anyone else thinking the same thing?

This has never happened to me and i'm thinking of changing my account details just to be sure. I mean if they knew what they were going to do from the outset (source/sell some tickets at the start, wait for the big festival scrabble and then pull the plug), what exactly stopping them from trying for more?

I don't know much about fraud crime. never needed to before.

There's certain precautions you can take to protect your account. Everyone who's been screwed should think on this. I don't wish to cause any further worry, i'm just going to be prudent from now on.
