Got back from New York yesterday - had to rebook flights, hotels etc after the tennis was rearranged for Monday. shit happens I suppose.

Federer was just awesome, no one would have lived with him in the final, not even Nadal. The whole of NY had built up the Nadal v Federer final - The Grapple in the Apple. Quite funny seeing people at Flushig Meadows with the t-shirt on - em where's Rafa?? <_<

There'll be more chances for Andy in the future but for now, mens tennis is in a very healthy shape with now the top four and some great names coming through like Guilbis and del Porto.

Jet-lagged at work today - away for a coffee.

Fair play...

It does annoy me when Scots and irish get all uppity about the English though.

Wellington was a Mick, most of the muscle and hell of a lot of the brains of the British Empire (Adam Smith being a good example) were either Scots, Welsh or Irish , and Burns was a tax collector for the British empire...

Yet, for some reason it's always the English that seem to get it in the neck...

I know Murray didn't mean it. But he should remember, that without the English, there would even be tennis.

  • 3 months later...

Good luck to him - he certainly seems to be doing the business at the moment.

I would love to see him win a Grand Slam.
