Macca will have the biggest crowd of the trio. Diana will have the largest of the weekend though I reckon
-
I think it will be one hell of an evening. ➡️ First Glasto headliner back for everyone there ➡️ Will be Friday night so everyone will have energy ➡️ They might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you only got to look at the crowd from 2019 to know they’ll be a massive draw ➡️ Very few bands can put on a show like Foals, and they love the festival so you just know they’ll be going all out for it too. All that combined will make for an incredible show. Will it be talked about years down the line? Probably not, but for me it’ll be an incredible welcome back to the best place on earth

Hang on, so we’re ruling Kendrick out as he’s not at any other fests, but ruling Flo in as she’s not at any other fests? This places moves fast.
-
+1 on this, would be awesome
-
They’ll have multiple sets over the weekend I reckon. Can see them being one of the Williams Green bands Thursday, a JP band and wouldn’t be surprised if they play the Park in a similar slot to the one Wolf Alice/Hinds etc. did
-
I think it would be a great alternative - gives the indie/guitar fans something they’ll enjoy. I might be wrong but can’t imagine there’s much crossover between Billie fans and Wolf Alice - only speaking in terms of our group, but of the 20 of us going, 2 are definite for Billie whereas the rest of us aren’t bothered, but would all be at Wolf Alice. Royal Blood is another great shout, forgot about them
-
Wolf Alice would be my guess

“Hey, Taylor? Yeah, look I know we pencilled you in for 2023 but we’ve hit a snag and as you’re spending half your time living just up the road and aren’t adverse to flying half way round the world for a few days when you’re not, reckon you could squeeze us in? We’ll promise not to invite Damon.”

i assume the only reason why people buy tickets for Harry Styles now is that they’re hoping the rest of the band walk out 👀
-
I’m a little confused by the no Wolf Alice talk - they’re free both Friday and Saturday and only in Germany Sunday. Unless I’m missing something, that’s the exact same availability as Dua, who everyone is saying is playing? edit - in fact, they’re in the UK before the festival, unlike Dua, so surely they’re even more likely than her?
-
Always been 100% since last summer, but surely everyone is an absolute shoe-in following that announcement. Time to get those ciders in boys and girls, we’re going Worthy Farm
-
Not sure how this works - but want to throw my hat into the ring for people who need help. I don’t need any resale tickets myself, but will be around to help for both coach and normal tickets for those that do (assuming they’re on different days again)

Yeah Wet Leg have to be a shoe-in for multiple sets over the weekend, and can see WG on Thursday night being one

100% Some incredibly hot takes in this thread which pretty much boils down to “I’m not a fan of that artist/genre, so it can’t happen”
-
Think we’ve all been overlooking the obvious choice. Packed secret gig last time? UK-based? Touring? Band and lead singer followed by Emily on Insta?
-
But anyway, it’s not the Stones so let’s move on
-
I’m pretty certain the Stones are limited to a 3 month announcement on tours, which I imagine is particularly stringent now since Charlie. Would make Friday March 25th the earliest (2013 was the 28th, albeit they were announcing tours earlier back then so that was likely GHQ reasons)
-
If it is the Stones (I highly doubt it is, they have no need to return after storming 2013), it means we won’t be getting the poster until the end of March… or having a poster with TBC on
-
It’s also the 60th anniversary this year for the Stones, so a few big celebratory UK gigs is guaranteed, regardless of Glasto or not
-
I believe they can only announce within 3 (or maybe 5, I can’t quite remember the story) months advance of any tour dates due to insurance reasons

I’ve had some great success with Twickets over the years - but as others have said relying on the email notification for the most sought after gigs can be touch and go. I’ve found it best to download the app and set a push notification up. It’s usually about a minute faster than the email coming through for me - and you can open the app direct from the notification, saving a few more all-important seconds
