Out of upvotes, but congrats! Really pleased for you

That’s awesome, congrats!

Final number to be confirmed as a few have had balances taken but no confirmation. Think it was 3 or 4 though - which given how tough it was this morning is great going!

Bumping this with some good news with some of our group getting Oxfam places today! Sadly not for me, I got through to the payment page but it timed out on me. All eyes on the resale now.
-
Timed out on the payment page 😭 Getting a feeling this year is just not meant to be for me.
-
Be a shame if it has gone, seem some amazing bands in there over the years!
-
Yep, going to be trying tomorrow and feeling nervous as ever. Nerves/belief destroyed after the man sale when not one of our group of regulars go through. Need some luck!
-
Yeah the Oxfam one is a free for all and can go very quickly - but it’s worth keeping your eye on it throughout the day and over the next few weeks (especially after resale day) as cancelled places become live frequently

Presale link for the Strokes if anyone needs it: https://www.allpointseastfestival.com/the-strokes-ape-presale/

Elton no brainer for me. Seen Fred plenty and although his shows are amazing, there’s going to be plenty more chances to see him this year.

Wateraid now open: https://www.wateraid.org/uk/get-involved/volunteering/festival-volunteering/apply

I can't find the last email they sent out, but pretty sure they said they would email again when links are open so should be some point today

Simply, it's changed my life for the better. The first time helped me out of a very dark place, and since then it's opened my mind, introduced me to new bands, shown me new concepts, unveiled the best of humanity and given me life-long friends from every corner of the globe. I haven't got a ticket/volunteer space yet this year, but I like to think someone in the main sale got the ticket I was hoping for for the first time and are about to embark on a journey that will enrich their life the same way those fields did for me.

Wateraid have a very similar shift pattern to Oxfam - 3x8 hours I believe. with a morning/afternoon/overnight format. options are either campaigning, water refill stations or toilet sanitation (which is brushing out cubicles, refilling soap dispensers, picking up nearby litter etc.)
-
I would also say it would be Fred on his own rather than with Skrillex and Four Tet. Can see the three doing a set together somewhere but Fred is an outright West Holts headliner with his live show

You’ve got as much chance as anyone, stay positive!
-
It sure is! At least in our group 🙂
-
He’s in talks for a multi-night residency at a big London venue

For those not checking the volunteering thread, first chances to get those tickets coming up tomorrow with WaterAid opening up their applications. Chances 2 and 3 then appearing next week with Oxfam and Festaff applications opening on the 1st Feb

Oh yeah! Gave him the gold harmonica right? Reading through these additions, it’s amazing how many moments I seem to have forgotten I’ve seen 😂
-
Great additions! Completely forgot about that Viola Beach cover, that was beautiful.

Ah fair enough! I’m not au fait with a lot of these headliners outside of the festival so might be a few tenuous ones on that list that are actually pretty standard for their shows.
