Didn’t see Sam, but this video is a great example of why I love the sub slot. Something about the sun going down and excitement for the night ahead, combined with an act smashing it, that makes a for an amazing atmosphere.

Not personally needed the resale since 2014, but was lucky then. Have also managed to get friends resale tickets every year. Missed out in November though so hoping that luck continues next month!

That’s awesome, thank you! I was trying to calculate it this way myself but was getting all kinds of confused. Not about the odds but the money raised, was just interested to see what it was like. Really hope this is something they continue each year, fantastic way to generate some funds.

Fred’s going to be announcing a big run of shows in London in Sep so won’t be APE (unless things have changed)

Seen him quite a few times both in the day and night. I prefer it in the dark in the same way I do most gigs but he’ll be ace in a sunset slot!

That’s what we used to do! Bag of kindling and a bag of logs for under a tenner, one of those wax candles and you were set for the rest of the evening meeting strangers and chatting nonsense. Loved it

There used to be a shop at the back of the other stage that used to sell it but been missing for a couple of years. Big shame as used to like picking some up and heading up to the stone circle, was a nice alternative to the SE corner.

How’s everyone feeling after that announcement? Most of our group feeling more confident and lineup doesn’t appear to have gone down overly well on here… although different story in the comments on Glastonbury socials which seem pretty positive compared to normal

Someone very well connected in the music industry mentioned Madge’s name to me in December, he said it was “for the next Glastonbury” which I assumed was for this year but I think he works pretty much a year in advance when sorting bookings so I’d say she’s nailed for ‘24. Taylor, Madonna and Sam Fender my complete guess. Complete opposite of this year with two females and an up and comer
