  1. I like to say you can never have too many DJs, but there's a limit 😂
  2. I just have one response to the title of this thread: Turtle Power! (Say it in your head)
  3. I wonder if there's any mileage in litter pits, similar to the long drops? The problem is that emptying them would be that much harder.
  4. I think it's wrong alright, but sadly I think it's happening.
  5. Or have empty bins "backstage" (potentially behind traders, not the actual stage) that are swapped out. I've been thinking about the skip idea for years - yes the current bins are pretty, but they simply get too full too quickly. In many places, it doesn't work and hasn't for years. That strip of food stalls on the left in the Park as you're walking up the hill is another. Always overflowing, every bloody year. A consistent failure on the festival's part.
  6. They must have tightened it up, because I wandered in there in 2014 without any identification just by saying I was waiting for a helicopter flight.
  7. It's not £800 per head though - that's on top of the ticket+transport.
  8. In the middle of watching Ready For The Floor from 2015. Sarah is definitely the MVP of that band!
  9. Yep, alcoholics quaffing expensive wine completely unaffected.
  10. No, only Scotland and Wales have a minimum unit price.
  11. It's a minimum price per unit of alcohol. If it's already above the minimum unit price in England, then the minimum unit price in Scotland and Wales won't force the retailer to charge more.
  12. Exactly. The Lidl cider is ridiculously cheap, so the price differential is that much larger. A bottle of high end fancy cider will probably cost the exact same.
  13. This stuff is surprisingly good, even if you don't take the price into account.
  14. Seriously though, why is that? Why are building sites so often so lacking in activity?
  15. I had, was no worse than a bad cold, but I'd let the pandemic as a whole get under my skin. Like seemingly everyone else, I did test positive after coming back. I don't think I'll be all that bothered if that happens again this year. In fact, I don't know if I'll even bother testing unless I feel quite rough or expect to be seeing an old person shortly after the festival. It's very much in the rear mirror now, I don't even know where my masks are, not worn one for ages. Quite different to last June.
  16. Me too. I never really got my groove going properly last year, even though I wasn't exactly keeping 2m away from people, I still had an underlying jitteryness about there being so many people about.
  17. It sounded really cool to me, especially at night where they could project all sorts onto it.
  18. Read the replies on Twitter. An April's fool.
  19. Hi Yog. Thought we were going to hear from you for a minute.
  20. I learned that trick from this very forum.
  21. Aren't they from the past as well as being fictional?
  22. Because I know people are dying to hear my musical analysis, it's the combination of the outro counter-melody and the elevated key that I think is so killer in that song, not so much the moment where it moves up.
  23. I've been listening to the latest album loads and she's my singular must see of the festival. Apparently key changes are increasingly a thing of the past. Well, 2 Be Loved has a great one! It's proper quality pop music. I fucking love her. Edit: I know it wasn't a number one, so wouldn't affect that graph, but it bloody well should have done.
