    Resale Club 2023

I had this when trying to but so done coach tix, see didn’t send the 3ds to revolut when they asked for payment so they just declined straight away. Luckily they got sorted in main sale, but the payment checks need looking at.
  2. I mean, this is really quite likely.
  3. Without a) knowing what I’m estimating b) how much a stadium gig costs to put that’s not super informative. i expect the FA to have special arrangements/pricing structure for the ‘football family’ and that gigs are prob more comparable with premium pricing structure that you see say for the FA Cup where the exact same seats sat in for the league cup final a few months before had completely different pricing (ie more expensive) structure. How much of that is baked in by Wembley, idk.
  4. (Elton John and the Stones are t shy about pricing.) Blur won’t be charged less for the stadium, security etc because they’re British. Equally they said in Lamacq that they had been scuppered by Covid so and sounded like they were finding it difficult to schedule with all of the other rescheduled gigs. Without having a line by line breakdown of the costs for a gig at Wembley (which I know through football pricing is extortionate) it’s difficult to assess who is being a dick and how much a dick they are being. It just seems people are outraged at Blur, without similar outrage at othered charging the same or more. I think the pricing generally of stadium shows is bad and as others have said, golden circles need fucking off.
  5. Kinda my point, people are angry at Blur who will have similar costs for a stadium gig. It’s an inconsistent reaction. It’s a bit like the rush for Peter Kay tix, I didn’t see similar outrage I saw people trying to multiple tix and being annoyed by the queue.
  6. I think you meant: those Blur, Pink, Motley Crue and Springsteen prices are disgusting.
  7. Yeah, we have a campfire pretty much every year. Never had any trouble or issues with campsite crew or neighbours. As others have said this year there were piles of wood of the railway track and you can always buy logs and kindling.

In terms of rehearsals they might just do a couple of friends and families shows at Brixton, I think they have form on that

Agree on fees, but it's difficult to compare the 'good pricing' of Green Day versus the 'corporate greed' of Blur when I can't tell how much a Green Day ticket actually cost once you got to payment.

    Blur

    Those prices don't include fees.

But more people to pay etc, bigger cuts being taken. I'd prefer they did 21 nights at Brixton personally.......

So I would say that's broadly comparable. It's a terrible venue and would imagine significantly cheaper than the premium of Wembley Stadium....

Caveat all the below with - I do think it's expensive, was disappointed by the prices and golden circles can fuck off... But I mean you need to compare like for like prices. I looked back and GNR standing outside golden circle was £101 at Tottenham Stadium when tix went on sale in Dec 2019. This is a stadium gig (premium), 2 well known and well liked supports (premium), they have also been transparent in the pricing list with the fees which isn't always the case. Shows cost money to put on. They will not be unaffected by rises in fuel and labour costs. Lots of people need to get paid. We are constantly told how artists are basically only making money from touring but some of them even need to cancel tours because it's become unaffordable to put them on. And you can't compare Brixton, it's a much cheaper venue to perform in.
  15. Why can't it be real. Celebs/models etc huge market for it for people with cash to burn, they used to come with a VIP wristband too as I recall.
  16. Having wealthy parents always helps.
  17. 'mature ladies freezer box' sounds like a euphemism if ever I've heard one

    Resale Club 2023

One thing to remember for the resale is the tickets will be paid in full and go to the 'lead booker' so (when you are all successful 🤞) you will have to sort out getting your tickets before the festival as well. We met up to collect ours. The other is that before the resale you will need to be rigorous in making sure people have checked and quadruple checked their details, that they are still committed to the resale (no passengers), will help others on the sheet if and when they get tix and are not in any separate groups that might fuck up the transaction. The joy of both getting tix for other people in the coach resale and then someone getting ours in the main resale was an amazing feeling. Fingers crossed for you all.
  19. This will happen if the payment fails, the reg are locked as it thinks the payment is going through which means no one can purchase tickets on those registrations until the lock times out. It's not new. Happened to me in the resale last year (no authorisation was requested from Barclays) and a group I was trying for in the coach sale (again no authorisation was sent to revolut so they declined the transaction). Luckily someone else got us tix at the death in the resale and the group I was trying for coach tickets were sorted today.
  20. Yes, just use a tissue to dry off the seat and sit down. Was really responding to the idea you need to use anti-bacterial wet wipes that then go in a separate bin.
  21. If worried about bacteria just put some hand gel on a tissue and wipe it. Job done. No need for rings of bog roll, wet wipes, hovering or squatting over the seat. People are so weird.
  22. I think the point is, why do you need to sit on bog roll, what's wrong with the plastic toilet seat? Do you do this with all public toilets or just glastonbury?
