  1. I have a photo of me coming down a helter skelter somewhere on site with a can of beer in my hand. And I have been up to the top of the ribbon tower as I found myself up that way one evening when there wasn't a headliner I wanted to see and there was no queue. Wouldn't necessarily say it was amazing but at least I've ticked it off my list.
  2. I'm fairly sure Goose Hall is the crew's catering place.
  3. I love my tarp hat. I bought a beer cap surround (can't think what to call it - "thingy"?) for it at the time I bought it which my friend lost when she was bringing it to me at a festival. She and I were both were upset but then my husband taught me how to drill holes in opposite sides of beer caps and now I have a personalised thingy of beer caps of beers I like. I get a few comments about it. If you see me in it say hi.
  4. Did people actually stop to add a water bottle onto their order before going through to payment or was it some sort of mistake where a bottle was added instead of a ticket rather than as well as. Sorry if I'm being thick - I didn't read the other thread.
  5. To be fair I only found it because people talked about it.
  6. The Stone Masons was gone in 2019 as well wasn't it? I found it in 2017 and it was a nice place to sit and regather some energy.
  7. The beer bus in the Theatre Field (I think) was cheaper than most of the others and had no queue to speak of. Obviously it was just a place to buy beer rather than somewhere to hang out, but suited me a lot of the time in 2019.
  8. Dammit I was thinking of the bandstand not Williams Green!
  9. I asked Smoove and Turrell if they were playing and got a bit of a mixed response - the Smoove and Turrell account answered not as yet but there's time yet, with a wink, but Smoove replied no. Make of that what you will!
  10. I get tent envy every time I walk through a camp site. It's quite difficult to cope with as I could buy about 6 tents by the time I walk across a field.
  11. Yep, if you pass a toilet without a queue, go even if you don't think you need it. And after 2019, similar thing for water, if you pass a tap without a queue, fill your bottle, drink it and fill it again. Only festival I have ever been to where I swear I drank more water than beer!
  12. My very first festival, I planned to go and see Tony Joe White in the Acoustic but got stuck in the Theatre Fields running around the field singing the Flintstones song and pretending to be an ostrich while ambushing innocent people. Didn't regret it. (though I did see a bit of TJW which I'm pleased about as he died a couple of years after). Last time I spent time in the Glasto Latino tent learning to Salsa, again no regrets.
  13. I had a look at the 3 man poled black out tent but I was a bit put off by the lack of a porch. And it seems the ones on ebay at the moment are few and far between and not cheap. DAMMIT - I have about 10 different tents already. I do not need another one. Why have you all got me looking at tents?
  14. Yeah I agree, I'm going on my own so the parking fee (even without the petrol cost) is prohibitive but tbh even if parking was free, I would take the coach. The thought of doing the journey by car on my own (especially the return journey) is not tempting in the least! I just hope they get away on time this year (going there anyway).
  15. Oh I realise they wouldn't be able to fulfil it all from their fleet but perhaps if the coaches aren't their usual standard they could, you know, reduce the fare accordingly?
  16. I think it was in 2017 I got NE and the coach was absolutely boiling and I had sat on the wrong side so the sun was on me the whole way. Must remember to sit on the right hand side this year! But the thing that really riled me was they left Birmingham about 3/4 of an hour late - no apologies or explanation.
  17. Slightly off topic but I notice that National Express has this on my confirmation email: "Please note that this service will be run by a third-party NX partner. Therefore, National Express Accessibility standards do not apply on this service. Please contact us.if you have special requirements to travel." Translation - the coach will be old, stuffy, cramped and generally shit. We also won't care if we leave on time or not although we wouldn't get away with this for any of our other routes.
  18. Agreed. I haven't visited here for a while as I couldn't really face the chat without a ticket. I've dabbled with @Brave Sir Robin's playlist a bit but that's about it.
  19. During the first lockdown, we drove to the Three Tuns to get a takeaway beer and drove up to the Stiperstones to drink it - pretty good beer garden, absolutely deserted.
