  1. Temple Meads to New Street on the train takes just over an hour and run well into the evening, no extra day annual leave needed.
  2. That's my Saturday night headliner sorted then 😄
  3. Train station pubs in London tend to be hovering around the £7.50 mark for Peroni etc
  4. Booked to hire a roof box and bars - £95 for the week 🙂
  5. MrsG1990(who won't do camping festivals, so won't be at Glastonbury) is a MASSIVE Air fan, so much we had Moon Safari play at our ceremony when we got married last year and I got her tickets for the Royal Albert Hall show at the end of May for her birthday. I was convinced when I saw the dates that given they would be in the UK when Glastonbury is on that I would be able to see them twice inside a month, and as you say the MS reviews have been top notch so I was very surprised to not see them on the poster. Could have possible seen a high end Park or Other stage appearance.
  6. Not got the email but seen the article on the official website. Can't seem to see where the car park ticket prices are? https://glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/2024-ticket-balance-payments-due-1st-7th-april/
  7. I read a story of one woman who went into into labour at the festival and was arguing with festival medics that she wanted to have the baby born at Glastonbury before they insisted she went to Yeovil hospital to give birth!
  8. Wonder what's prompted that change? Losing some parts of Avalon Different queuing area for SEC and SEC to pump 24/7 Side note, our group went to the area by IICON on the Saturday last year during the day, was a nice place to chill out for a bit...guess that won't be much of an option anymore! 😄
  9. 5am is usually pretty decent 😎
  10. We had to stand way out on the edge as the tent was rammed then heard Michael Jackson had died. Up there with the oddest moments of my life!
  11. Absolutely not, it was raking hot on the Wednesday with no rain....... Thursday PM it started raining and pretty much didn't stop all weekend after that.
  12. Yep. Friends of mine did that last year.
  13. I think there’s a new generation of attendees coming through who want things to do on those days and not just sit about in campsites/lying on the floor in the SC
  14. The weather to be decent 100%
  15. I find it rather amusing that he takes to the stage wearing football hooligan attire (Stone Island jackets) most of the time. 😄
  16. She's got about 4-5 songs that everyone knows and will sing along with...but I think the last 'hit' was a good 15+ years ago. Made me feel old when I read recently she's 40 this year! 😄
  17. Going from your sig you've got a decade of going prior to me so will have noticed it even more! From when I started going I've always gone on the Weds, although the arrival time seems get earlier each year! 2009/2010 it started to get really busy on the Weds and has steadily got worse since. Tbh I don't mind chilling at hte campsite etc etc but for a lot of people they want something to do. I would suggest the festival either start spelling out that there's not much to do, put more on or as you suggest open to the public thurs AM rather than Weds AM. To me you can't really have 100k people milling around scrabbling over Sister Bliss on at the Glade or whatever for their main nights entertainment.
  18. Slightly off point ...but..... the thing is now, people turn up expecting a 5 day party except the licence only has main stages for 3 days on the Fri-Sun. The site is much more busier on those first two days than when I started going 20 years ago and they really need to provide more adequate entertainment as its clear that what they currently offer doesn't spread the crowds out enough.
  19. For £135 a ticket for my good lady’s birthday I’m going to sit back and enjoy it not sit with my phone in my hand on efests!
