  1. They are playing in France on the Friday. Could do Other Stage headline Sat or Sun. https://theprodigy.com/
  2. Were due to headline the Other Stage in 2019 until Keith Flints death and they are touring heavily this summer.
  3. I think Prodigy are going to be an Other Stage headliner. Just a hunch.
  4. Either Monday morning or Friday afternoon will get the most traction. So it will be Wednesday lunchtime 😄
  5. Coldplay/SZA/Dua Lipa as the headliners I think (doubtful I'll watch any of those tbh)
  6. Its pointless announcing something separately now given we know the line up is coming next week.
  7. Its an interesting place to live and work in, there's always something going on. That said, we still have to travel to London for big gigs like anyone else 😄
  8. I don't know how well it was advertised on student mailings, I got it on a staff one. There were about 70-80 people there, a lot you can't see in that pic posted as they were behind it.
  9. The issue was the timing. I work at the Uni and we all got a mailshot advertising it, there were three events at 2pm, 5pm and 7pm. The Emily Eavis talk was at 2pm right in the middle of the working day, I had to ask my line manager if I could get out of work for two hours and then make the time up at the end of the day. Had I had any meetings scheduled I wouldn't have been able to attend, it was by pure luck that my diary was clear for the afternoon. I think if the talk had been at 5pm there would have been a lot more people there.
  10. Quite, given her career aspiration was to be a school teacher it’s quite a different life she’s ended up living. Things could have been so different as Michael and Jean planned to make 2000 the last one and retire together, however when she died in 1999 Michael changed his mind and carried on.
  11. Nothing else on this years festival but plenty on her and her experience of working in the industry. Was a great talk and glad I managed to bag a seat almost right at the front. 😊
  12. she talked about 1. How she got into running the festival, spoke about wanting to become a teacher and dropping out of Goldsmiths to care for her mother. 2. Having one female agent she looked up to as inspiration for another woman in a similar position. 3. Stepping into her fathers shoes and doing things her own way. 4. More provisions for females to feel safe at this years festival - such as female 'chill out' areas and how they're always looking for ways to improve things. 5. Spoke about sometimes not feeling safe late night on the tube as a lone female. 6. Spoke about going to Madonna recently (tied in with point 5) 7. Trying to get an equal gender balance with line-ups but it sometimes difficult as the pool to choose from is male dominated. 8. Confirmed two headliners are female but wouldn't reveal who. 9. Glastonbury 2024 line up will be out 'next week' 10. Championed Raye (a lot) 11. Spoke about Billie Eilish playing at the festival and how she was looking out for the welfare of female fans at the festival. Perhaps @Harmonic Prospectorcan remember more? It was about 1 1/2 hrs long, but there was an introduction from the organiser, opening talk from the vice-chancellor of the university, then three other panellists talking in equal measure so wasn't just all about EE and Glastonbury. It was my question that got asked about the line up it was: 'Given you wish to have an equal gender balance in the line up, will there be any female headliners this year, and when is the line-up due out?' Wanted to get a photo with her afterwards but I had to rush back to work and she was doing press stuff with the official photographer and other panellists.
  13. EE simply said 'the line up will be out next week' Which day that will be is anyone's guess!
  14. OOF are reporting 3 female headlineres in either 2025 or 2026, unless I dropped into a coma whilst EE said that I think that's been misquoted.
  15. I'll do an update once my manager has gone home!
  16. Yep, but didn't say 2025 or 2026!
  17. @Harmonic Prospector Not sure I heard that? - Did you?
  18. 99.9 sure she just said 'line up' I took that as initial poster drop with the big names then the full thing will follow in May or whenever it usually arrives.
  19. I got there 15 mins before it started and managed to get 2nd front row centre spot......I agree in the middle of the day meant turnout was low. but good for me as I got prime spot. 🙂
  20. I also have to note she said 'headliners' she didn't specify 'Pyramid headliners' The host tried desperately to get her to give her a name but EE flat out refused.
  21. Committed to the cause, I know everyone in here is frothing at the mouth for some news.
