Was on the Wed or Thur and initially the fest seemed to have no intention of showing it until it was pointed out they'd shown men's football (even when it clashed with the main stages & they had to set up a screen in the car park) so why not show the women's when there's nothing else on west holts.

Don't know about the Google 1 but what3words uses GPS and doesn't need a data signal (it won't load the background map if you're offline, but you don't really need that at glasto). You just need to wait 30 secs to 1 min after opening it so it can get a more accurate location for you.

The problem with this IMO is I've discovered great stuff by listening through playlists pre-festival that I never would've found just by looking through the programme.

I'm sure everyone was "normal age" when I started going to glasto at 20. Now I'm dangerously close to 40 & the glasto crowd is full of kids. Sports people, pop stars coppers and teachers are also kids these days, it must be them that have changed, not me 😂 20 years ago, indie was popular among young people. Glasto was booking bands that were on top of the pops. It's always attracted 17 year olds.

They were going to do something for the 20th anniversary, then 1 of them died.

Back in 2017, I failed in both the original sale and the resale. No probs, just needed to be on perma-alert for the secret sale (that was of course the 1st year with no secret sale 😭). Anyway, 1 of my colleagues said "don't you go every year? They should have priority tickets for people who always go." Oh, how I laughed.

People are still being booted out of the system mid-purchase, so I don't know if it would be able to go any faster. I'd prefer it if it was throttled a bit more, if that would guarantee it staying stable for the people who are in. Endless holding page is bad, but getting part way through the process just for it to fall over is worse imho.
