  1. I do this as well, keep thinking about where I might try to break in if I had to. Had picked out a spot that sounds like it was similar to where the story posted here suggests it is.
  2. Best Oxfam radio call was the stewards dealing with Deer at wilderness festival. It was entertaining to listen to it evolve over the course of the evening from a few deer by the main gate into a heard of deer and then they had to call in the park rangers. The clarification on the radio was "Oxbox to yellow gate stewards- Just had clarity that the site is a working deer farm with over 1,000 on site. So there's little we're able to do, hopefully they'll move by morning" "Yellow gate stewards to Oxbox-Roger that, for next year's festival suggest venison as an option".
  3. All these sneaking in stories make me think that there must be an easier way to do it then hopping the fence.
  4. Wait, there's more to genosys then just the outside?
  5. They're fun when you don't have to queue for an hour.
  6. Nothing to skip the queue that I saw, we missed the Friday headliners though so that helped. To actually get in you had to crawl through a tunnel whilst being fanned by Alice in wonderland characters feeding you sugar cubes. I swear I wasn't even high at this point.

    Lost Horizons

Odd, doesn't the 3 course dinner place sell tickets in advance? I guess that's more of an event thing though. Also is being naked compulsory?
  8. If you went first thing it was fine, toilet then pick up orange juice. After about 9ish there started being a queue to get in but they moved everyone round fairly quickly.
  9. Tinned fruit cocktail I'm the morning, two liquid neurofen and a variety pack of cereal. March with a pint of milk and orange juice for the co-op and you're all set for the day. None of the other options suggested here have convinced me to bring any more of my own food in!
  10. Oh this! I like to go to the loo after the first tent beers then try to find my way back before setting off!
  11. This is such a good tip. There wasn't a sub headliner I wanted to see on Saturday last year. So I joined the queue for the lush noodle place by the other stage that mid act had no queue and just chilled at the tent, had a little nap and prepared myself for the chemical brothers. After 4 days having a little space to myself was incredible.
  12. Tbh there isn't an answer to this question, not a proper one anyway. The beauty of Glastonbury is that two groups of people can have entirely different festival experiences, exploring and discovering different things. Wanna do a 5k run, sit in a naked sauna, do a nature trek, carve stone figures, do laughter yoga and never watch a live act all weekend you absolutely can, and you won't be bored.
  13. If you want to fight misogyny in the music industry this is not where you start. Admit you made a mistake rather then doubling down on an obscure, irrelevant theory.

    Eurovision 2022

The expectation is when the country they wins can't host then one of the big five countries they pay the most to the competition step in to help host. (France, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain). Similarly Australia aren't allowed to host if they win as it's too far away.
  15. Banks are starting to charge cash handling fees for certain business accounts. There's also the costs involved of going to the bank, presumably everyday, during the festival. Card takes that hassle away for you.
  16. I know, it was a joke. I've just never really properly listened to them.

    Eurovision 2022

It's fine, you can already hear when they'll put the pyrotechnics in the staging. If he sings it adequately, has decent staging and at least half an attempt of a tour he should get points. Problem is it's a competition and you have to get into someone's top 10 songs to actually get points. If other countries have entered something similar enough that gets into the final there's a high chance it won't be in anyone's top 10.

    Entry toilets

If the queue isn't moving I don't see the issue, that's what they're there for?
  19. I think the headliners are more to their crowd though, they got a lot of negative push back in them last year. Particularly Mahalia/Loyle Corner and Bicep/Jamie xx. Years & years is a huge act, Underworld hopefully has more then the one song but should appease the parents and Jungle are huge (relatively).
  20. And still Glastonbury places available in priority!
  21. I find card makes it much easier to track what I'm spending then cash. No trying to count shrapnel, misplaced notes and it's really easy to track what you've spent and what you've got left. Also far far easier to split rounds amongst mates, you can split money instantly and not have to total it up at the end. Also if you lose it you can instantly freeze your card so don't lose any money.
  22. The only reason it's a good opportunity to make a political point is because they know it'll be on TV. If the cameras weren't there there'd be significantly less political flags.
  23. It was fine, my memory is hazy but we definitely got there for the start of prospa and were able to get in.
  24. https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca61PqDKY8V/? Pretty decent mix that is.
  25. Yeah, it was pretty boring tbh.
