  1. Not sure. I think it's down to too much alcohol and irony.

  5. Saw them on the second stage in 1986
  6. This a list of artists/bands that are still active, a list of any possible even bringing back the dead would have a load of extras. Enimem with Dr Dre and Snoop, Misty in Roots, Public Enemy with DJ Lord, Air, Chemical Brothers, Justice, Janelle Monae, Kae Tempest, Sleaford Mods, Billy No Mates, Saint Etienne, Jay Z, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Bicep, Underworld, Pet Shop Boys, Aphrodite, Micky Finn, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Orb, System 7, Gong, Hollie Cook with Horseman, Prince Fatty, Helen Love, Faithless, The Orb, Way Out West, Freestylers, Black Star Liner, E-Z Rollers, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Missy Elliot, Shy FX with UK Apache, Ian Brown, MIA, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Cypress Hill, Run DMC, Steel Pulse, Kayne West, Jurassic 5, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits. Certainly loads more. Off course the problem with this is impossible clashes all day everyday
  7. I've not got many programmes because, annoyingly, crew don't get given them. However, I've recently discovered that if you go to the pedestrian gates on the Wednesday/Thursday you'll find load abandoned. For some reason people throw them away.
  8. To be fair to JP it was me that said that. I'm just a grumpy old git who can't see the point of cover bands and as a generalisation hate that sort of event. As an aside I was lucky enough to see Queen in 1982.
  9. West Holts specifically. Was most disappointed as normally they have the best sound.
  10. It always rains at Beautiful Days
  11. To be fair they have done incredibly well.
  12. How Glastonbury combats noise pollution By making the sound on the stages too quiet. You really shouldn't be able to hold a normal conversation within 5 rows of the front during a performance.
  13. Ah the old carbon offsetting plant some trees blag.
  14. Just reminded me why I've decided to stop going to Beautiful Days. It's full of middle age people trying to recreate their youthful experience watching 80's and 90's bands.
  15. Very much so. Personally I'd like to see them banned.
  16. Just a comparison, was interested as I've never seen a general public ticket. Anyway have got rid of my clearly irrelevant post.
  17. If we're going to get into diesel use then we can forget any claim of Glastonbury having any environmental credentials. A conversation with someone responsible for the stage electrics in SE corner led to a "back of a fag packet" calculation and very rough estimate that the festival uses between half a million and one million litres of diesel just running the stages.
  18. Hold on a minute! Do general public tickets have your address on them?

    Volunteering 2023

https://festivals.oxfam.org.uk/ Get on the Shambala crew if there's places left.
  21. His set on the Other Stage (2018?) was better, he tried too hard with production on the Pyramid.
  22. All I've got is my wristbands, laminates, passes and programmes.
  23. 11am slot - no problem with that, surely there's no one there anyway, except maybe a few munters who've not been to sleep (except we don't get any of them anymore).
