  1. Absolute nonsense. Those I've bolded have all been massive at some point. Just everyone in the country can name a PSB tune and most can sing a long. New Order produced the biggest selling dance single of all time, one that will always fill a floor. Looks like you're one of those types that live under a bridge.

    DJ Sets

Just about DnB after a fashion, but certainly not Jungle. I was around when Jungle first appeared, I not sure many actually know what it is, most call DnB Jungle.

Don't know, but the Carl Cox bnb Chase and Status Jungle set wasn't Jungle.
  4. Not sure LCD Sound System, PSB, Chemical Brothers and New Order are hip and trendy with the cool kids, but then what would I know I'm neither a kid or cool. Agree about the crowd pleaser about Pyramid sub (in general). Re Elbow, dreadful and Guy Garvey has to one of the most boring and annoying musicians out there, he's also arguably 6 musics worst.
  5. That's nothing to do with the talent or ability of the artists. It's down to the sheep like nature of the crowd. Like how you wrote smashed the granny out of it , as their the only people I can see liking Sam Fender.
  6. Best Pyramid sub I remember seeing was Amy Winehouse, but in general I agree.
  7. 2017, maybe he didn't headline, memory's a bit fuzzy.
  8. There you go, yet more evidence that The Other Stage generally has better headliners than the Pyramid.
  9. Let's go, superb Other Headliners of recent years: Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Stormzy, Chemical Brothers.
  10. Never seen or heard Lorde , but I'd imagine PSB are a lot bigger. Thing with Pyramid sub is that a significant number of the audience are only there to get a good spot for the headliner.

    2023 Stage Predictions

Not as evil as having the Arctic Monkeys (if that who AM are) play at all.
  12. That'll be me. As I said I don't get a ticket pre arrival, only once onsite. Quite common for people arriving early.
  13. Strange. I don't know the "ins and outs" of how all areas work, but that sounds like an electronic pass which typically should be only usable once. I don't get a ticket in advance of arriving. I get an early vehicle pass and then pick up my ticket and wristband on site.

    2023 Stage Predictions

Unless you count Nirvana, there hasn't been a strong rock band since sometime in the 1970's.
  16. Now she was an absolute darling, treated her crew very, very well. R.I.P.
  17. The crew bars in the SE corner were more or less the same as usual, with one notable exception. The main Shangri La crew bar became an "open to all" bar during the event. There is a second Shangri La bar which is one of the harder places on site to get into. The crew bars are mostly busy so I don't think that had any effect.
  18. As a none drinker of alcohol it's fairly apparent that those who ignorantly push through, usually without even noticing you, are pissed. Contrast this with those on MDMA who will gently stroke your back until you acknowledge their presence. They will then apologetically and politely ask to be allowed past.
  19. With a bit of thought I could probably come with at least 100 "If you could travel back in time" gigs before I'd get to The Beatles.
  20. Great idea, we need to get rid of the dickheads somehow and this may get rid of some. There are plenty of other types of dickheads to, not sure how we get rid of them. Guess banning alcohol wouldn't go down too well.
  21. Really? Are you a Shambala regular by any chance?
  22. At the first festival milk was free. I watched the documentary and heard the opposite to what you heard. Strange, but quite common, that two people can witness the same thing as come to opposite conclusions.
