  1. Legislation for higher quality alcoholism, that's a good one 😁
  2. There's in fact not one human working at ticketmaster anymore, it's run by chatGPT now. "Make life as hard as possible for as many punters as possible and try to kill the joy of attending gigs to the best of your abilities" was the prompt, I believe.
  3. First timers. We're doing a bit of a Interrail eurotrip beforehand. Will arrive to Bristol on Tuesday around noon. Stock up, try to get as much sleep as possible, last shower and then take the national express at 6am. Through the gates, pitched and with a beer in hand in no time - hopefully.
  4. I'm pretty sure he meant a miniature version of his stage design, not the whole 22 truck loads of it.
  5. If you look closely, you can find a couple of differences between the 1968 one and 2022.
  6. Certainly. Plus, for the price of a Rock en Seine weekend in Paris (and that's even without the Billie day), I can probably get Cala Mijas and the rest of the week strolling around Malaga, overindulging in tapas. I'd say that's a pretty sweet deal.
  7. Since I really want to see The Strokes I'm not considering Kalorama. My only alternative is Rock en Seine, with plenty of acts that I'd want to see that won't be at Cala Mijas (Boygenius, Turnstile, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Dry Cleaning, Wet Leg, Nova Twins, Gaz Coombes), but I very much prefer Andalucia to Paris and there's a very good chance of seeing all of the mentioned in the following years. And yes, it's turning out to be a stinker year pretty much across the board.
  8. Wasn't Cave last year announced really late, June or something? Don't get me wrong, I consider this lineup finished bar any late cancellations, but wouldn't mind a late surprise. Also there's no Mumford and Sons, which is a huge plus.
  9. Loving some Nu Genea, Playback Maracas and La Élite.
  10. Funny. Judging by the number of acts each day and comparing it 2022, that looks to be mostly a complete lineup. That said, The Strokes day is significantly weaker than the AF day. I mean all of the Thursday's second line is bigger than Amyl. Happy with Idles and Moderat, disappointed with the lack of Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Not much of interest on the Saturday either.
  11. Soooo..... What's going on? Nothing on IG, FB, Twitter or webpage. A leak of some kind again?
  12. Carnival Crowds & Colourful Celebration
  13. Some guy on facebook asked whether they plan to announce anything before the segrada familia is finished. Found it quite amusing. He didn't get a response.
  14. Terrific. I have a flat booked near the end of the line. Should be a breeze.
  15. Does the H5 run throughout the night during the festival?
  16. I wouldn't expect many more major additions. This festival is basically a "baby Primavera", with the strength and depth of the undercard as the main selling point, rather than a top-heavy poster. The setting and atmosphere are amazing though, so if you manage to find some gems in the fine print of the lineup I'd certainly recommend still going.

    2024 Headliners

    Dual - Madge - 1975/Fender
  18. As said before, she's too big. She's one of the biggest acts touring right now, bigger than any of the 3 headliners we have now. Sziget moved the dates of the whole festival because of her - after they were published and tickets were being sold. Rock en Seine has a special day for her, with separate tickets and a day between her and the rest of the weekend. Pukkelpop, Lowlands and R&L are all way bigger and more established festivals than this. More expensive as well. Having her instead of any of our three headliners would be a huge get. She would've already be announced too. Waiting for an announcement for so long is rarely a good sign, so I'd be careful with my expectations.
  19. And the festival would survive a Lana as well, but do something like that again the following year since you're getting complacent, couple that with another inevitable price hike and a potential wet one, and it quickly becomes a slippery slope. They seem to be well aware of that though, and as long as it stays that way the festival will continue to sell out in 30 or so minutes.
  20. Perhaps, but one argument actually has something to do with music, the other one doesn't. Besides GnR are a more diverse act anyway. As pointed out, thinking like this would be their downfall. Plus Emily supposedly likes GnR alot.
