  1. Dua & SZA Jessie and Peggy on Sat night. Up the femmes.
  2. We had Kasabian and The Who back to back in the last decade. A third or fourth round draft pick headliner is a risk associated with a strategy of booking monster legacy headline acts and the largest current acts around. I'd argue given the hits they've had, it's still a good strategy. And SZA will be excellent.
  3. Just missing Imagine Dragons for the full set of acts that have played before a Liverpool CL final. Fortunately, we are missing Imagine Dragons.
  4. I guess because we've got Miss Lipa in the big one? I think that's only really been a thing in the past few editions but the landscape is always in flux.
  5. A lot of negativity surrounding the poster. I've just taken a look at the 2014, 2015, 2016 and even 2017 lineup posters. I don't think that there's any real difference in terms of the calibre of acts booked. Am I missing something? I guess the main omission is a proper oldie.
  6. Are they planning to use the top half of the field as a driving range or maybe have a giant slip n slide set up there that afternoon or something?

    Dua Lipa

Kyiv 2018 was so good ha. One Kiss went off but the whole show was pretty well received. Don't think the millions of reds at Glasto will just be there for that one song you know.

    SZA

You don't need tempo when you can open up like this, with a voice like hers.

Drake would 100% show up. I mean he came on at a Section Boyz show at Village Underground a few years ago, so a Pyramid Headliner. Yeah, for sure. The main issue is that Slime For You (feat. SZA) is a complete dud of a track. One of Drake's worst collabs. Whilst we're speaking about Giggs and being brought out, btw. When Giggs got brought out by Kano for 3-Wheel Ups at Sonic in 2016 was just unbelievable. One of my all time Glasto moments. And easily the best ever thing to happen at the bloody Sonic, that's for certain.

Love Galore (ft Travis Scott) is my jam forever. Also a potential bringer outer. Apparently Trav came out in Manchester during the arena tour. There's a Drake collab too, but I don't really think it's all that. Consideration off Rihanna's last album ANTI is a great track but probably a bit too obscure. Most people probably don't even remember it because it was released a good 2 years before SZA blew up.

I'm here for LCD subbing Dua. But if there's a 'churnups' style slot before it, the exodus will make Foos to Royal Blood seem minor by comparison.

It'd really be a nightmare if they clash her with Jessie

For me, CTRL was one of the best albums of the last decade and SOS seems really good too, though I've not given it loads of time by comparison. It's a really good booking for me, a top tier current artist at the point when they are achieving mainstream appeal and accolades. I get the where's the bangers question, but there's definitely space on the Pyramid for acts that evoke mood and emotion - Adele, Radiohead, Billie to name but a few. With Dua and Coldplay on the other nights, positive vibes will not be in short supply, anyway.

    2024 Headliners

Everything is teeing up for Sunday being all women on the ol' vertical pizza slice. Announcement Today or Tomorrow, then Emily is cashing in on the good PR for her talk on Thursday. The only remaining mystery for me is... do we have one more twist and Madonna is on the line up or are we cashing out on SZA.
  16. I don't think Kano's 2016 Sonic show or 2017 Park show could be topped. But I think he'd get a huge placement if he played again on account of his Top Boy success as well as his live reputation. Hip Hop is 100% terribly represented at Glasto, over the 7 or so years I've been going, there can't have been more than a handful of american rappers booked. And half of the ones that were booked were legacy acts. It's almost easier to top the Pyramid than get mid-afternoon on the other which is crazy really.
  17. Nines is headlining Project 6 and did make the Glasto poster a few years back (2017). Since then he's gone on to be recognised as one of the UKs best. It'd be great to see him back (especially for me, as I missed him last time). J Hus has to be the biggest UK rapper to have never played, so yeah, would be great to get that booked in too. DBE would be fun, can't see them getting a mega crowd at Glasto

I think the reference was to Rock in Rio rather than G. Where Travis Scott is headlining.

I really hope they get her but with that setlist it's a Barry Gibb/Chic/Blondie pre-legend or legend slot surely.
  20. I think the IWD thing is a bad move (IMO). There's an established critique of the bundles crap marketing around IWD which doesn't sit right with the actual purpose of the day. I don't think it's a good look for Glasto to even appear to be stepping in to that space.
  21. So reliably brilliant 💗
