  1. I so totally disagree. I want to turn up to a gig and watch most of it on a tiny screen. I also want to stand still, at least my arm, and not get into the vibe of the gig at all. I can then post about what an amazing time I had. I also like to talk loudly to the person next to me about my day or some other sh*t. 😁 I do like to have a photo of every gig, but actually feel slightly embarrassed doing it. What I do need to learn is to ignore the f**kers that do film everything, as you say it ends up being a distraction. No idea how I stop that annoyance. I do like losing myself in the music and looking around and everyone was too. At a gig not so long back where I looked around and the majority were filming , something is lost. No community to it. I am old enough to have gone to gigs before mobile phones. I still remember them and the memory is strong about the good time I had. Would it be better if I had a clip of it, no idea. Come back when dementia sets in.
  2. He is not allowed to mention that he is opening the pyramid stage on Friday this year.
  3. Me lord they were bought by someone else and I had no idea what they had done. The emotional stress this is now causing me I think I will sue the festival. 😁
  4. Think it would end up being a nightmare for the festival. The group could claim that they knew nothing about someone in the group knowing about this server thing that has been mentioned and therefore penalising them unfairly. Very tricky to prove I would have thought. I happened to buy for a group of friends on a BT connection I should have cancelled about a month ago as I had changed suppliers ( must do it). The strange sounds I made when through should never be heard by anyone. I work there so was trying for friends.
  5. The same. We asked someone in T@C backstage to have a look around theres. Very nice. Not sure they were happy when I turned round and shouted what are you doing in my accommodation and I called security 😉
  6. Yea, reckon you are right. Peanuts to them no doubt
  7. I wonder how many are corporate or artists and not just punters
  8. Aye. It would add complications. People now who do not get accommodation they will pop the ticket back in the pot and those registered try again. Going to ignore those who have change of circumstances. So in a resale they would have to go out again and ask if everyone wanted to be in the next ballot, admin headache.
  9. But then you go back to the same situation surely. Get loads of people trying for your campervan ticket. Plus 2 separate computer systems to pay for
  10. Not sure if you would get a limit, but you only buy one raffle ticket per group. If people wanted fairness
  11. So with Ballot are people thinking you have to put accommodation preference in aswell? Wouldn't be too hard I guess bit if a mare if groups were split across what they want . Pain for Glastonbury, could commission another system. Otherwise you could get the situation where you do the ballot and find a big percentage want campervan tickets and they are limited. So another ballot etc. Other events seem to be for just a ticket, to say the marathon. Another thing I don't know is what kind of contract they have signed with see.
  12. I am not in favour of the ballot, each to there own. Just feels no effort goes into it. My group would have one chance at the tickets. But as a group we have to organise, get up be ready and have more than one chance during the time tickets are on sale. Yes you can get more people to help but that is more effort on your part to make that happen. What would happen to a resale? would have to make sure everyone was prepared to be in the ballot again.
  13. Aye. So just one raffle ticket per group is probably better phrase
  14. So are you thinking one person one ticket. Or one group and you can all enter.
  15. What else are you going to do with a dead horse
  16. Certainly is. Buy his vinyl at every release
  17. Been listening tonight, nothing ground break but, as you say, absolutely gorgeous. Others I have been listening to Prince Fatty v The Gorgon- dubtastic stuff Penguin cafe, Rain Before Seven - cracking album can't wait to see them live Sevdaliza new tune is fantastic, I assume an Album on the way and I am here for it
  18. Very true. Also the sad passing of Jean Eavis otherwise they were going to stop. Also , think it is Michael who said that lost Vagueness and the creation of the late night areas that help save it. Going to be many factors. I love that they can keep evolving and make it an amazing experience for us all.
  19. People talk about the chems that year with people through the hedges, Emily mentions it. Not sure myself as rocked up and could get to the front right speaker.
  20. Probably busy getting her disguise ready for the march with a bag full of molotovs
  21. 2 minutes silence And I am off to a gig
